I actually read the thread title, and that it was from Carly, and thought the EXACT same thing! My 2 cents - you look great Carly! If you really want to lose a little weight, maybe just watching what you eat with some simple things like crunches or pushups? But seriously, you're crazy if you think you need to lose an ounce
  2. Either way I'm in... just let me know how we're going to do this

Dear Hubby, A postive at home test means I am pregnant, waiting to find out the same result from a blood test is only delaying the inevitable-you are going to be a dad, and while I know you will be happy about it once it really sinks in, but in the mean time being crabby with me does not help my own emotional craziness. Dear lab corp lady, I really meant it when I said I have rolling veins, once a needle gets near them, they don't want to give their blood away. Why didn't you just listen to me and take the blood out of my hand like I said in the first place...now I have a bruise and my arm really hurts. Also I am really sorry for crying while getting my blood drawn, it hurt when you were digging around trying to find my vein and I am a little emotional right now. Dear Mom, answer your phone!!! I want to tell you that you're going to be a grandma!!!! OMG! Congrats!!! I'm sure there is another thread dedicated to this, but this is the first one I've seen Awesome news!!!
  4. I haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but what Allyssa posted about Elfster looks good.
  5. I will try to get my leg lifts in after cardio today - I may use the machine at the gym though - the inner and outer thigh ones. I'm going to be out on any lunge/squat exercise... I hurt my knee earlier in the summer and that is the exact motion that makes it hurt. 24oz water so far for the day...
  6. Dear Heidi - I'm so glad we could make you smile for a night! It was great meeting all of you and we'll definitely have to do it again soon Dear Trisha - I'm sorry you're having such a bad day! Definitely screw the hike and drink the wine! And the next time you're in the area, we will all meet up and get some Philly-sized drinks Dear FI - Why is it that you feel you need to 'fix' everything? I know you're only trying to help, but when I'm feeling down about not losing weight, don't tell me I should cut out the salad dressing! The 35 friggen' calories aren't making me not lose weight! And going to the gym twice a day doesn't really work for me. I work 10 hours in a busy emergency department - I am physically exhausted when I get home. I cannot even imagine going before work and then again after! You go to work for like 4 hours a day (at most!) and then sometimes do some work at home. I'm working really hard to lose weight - why do you have to make me feel like I'm not doing everything I should? Can't you just say something like "That sucks... next week will be better... you're doing great" ?
  7. Thanks for the support ladies I've just been down about this today. I still stuck to my diet and went to the gym, but am feeling a little defeated. I worked my butt off this past week, and it wasn't what I expected to see. New week, will try to get a new attitude, and next week's weight will be better
  8. I'm going to the gym in a bit, but I'm feeling a little unmotivated. I've been really eating pretty healthy this week, worked out 5 days, and I only lost 1/2 a pound! Sucks! I really wanted to have lost more...
  9. I definitely don't think you're in the wrong! Sounds like you've been very easy going about it and they need to make a decision. If you can find a few dresses and give them the options, that should do the trick
  10. Congrats Mel! I can't believe your wedding day is already here! So exciting! Have a wonderful day! We can't wait to see your pics and hear all about it
  11. If we work out the details on the address, I'm in!
  12. I'm not feeling computer savvy this morning - would there be a way to use photobucket to share pics? Can you download from photobucket?
  13. I'm so excited for you Mo! Everything will be perfect and you'll get it all done! For now... study (but know that you are going to have a beautiful wedding!).

  15. Just got back from the gym - "last chance workout" of sorts because I weigh myself on Wednesdays - lol. I did my crunches and 40 min on the eliptical Not bad after a 10 hour day in the ER! Jen, I'm so glad you used the treadmill! Awesome job! Keep up the good work ladies!

I haven't had my alteration done yet either, but I thought it was a good idea. It should be a pretty simple project with a sewing machine to make a nice edge to the fabric - or you could even use double stick fabric tape to make a nice edge.

But if I can get the whole thing down before I leave work I can get the last 14 oz. in at home with dinner. That's totally what I do. We have these big water pitchers for patients in the ER... everyday I grab one, try to fill it twice a day while at work and then get the rest in at home.
  18. I'm glad we decided to fly first class... I think the 70lb weight limit will definitely help. I can't wait to hear your experiences Mo... I think you're the next Jamaica bride!
  19. I forget where I saw this, but I'm planning on getting the material from my dress to wrap around the bouquet (taken from the length at alterations).
  20. Sorry to hear you're going through this! I don't have much to add - except that the step-sister is being a spoiled brat. Who does that? In any case, plan your wedding the way you want it! Its your day.
  21. Thanks for getting the pics up so fast Heidi and Alyssa! I had a blast meeting you guys last night, and we will definitely have to do it again soon!
  22. Thanks for posting this Kash! Great idea I'm almost done with my water (and I just found this thread so I'm feeling good that today's challenge was so doable for me - lol). Jen - GET ON YOUR TREADMILL! j/k Even if its just for 15 minutes. Great job with the diet coke! You're doing awesome Quote: Originally Posted by JenandBrendan Kash - what a great list!!!! Um, still haven't used the new treadmill yet. I know there are no excuses but I did have a busy weekend. I plan on using it tonight for at least 30 minutes. Plus I've been sticking to my target calorie intake all day, and I'm doing good so far. The scale still hasn't moved, but I guess maintaining is better than gaining, right
