  1. Dear FFIL, Stop being such a selfish ***tard, and put your son's wedding on the top of your priority list! You are alienating your son and future daughter-in-law, and at this rate, you may be uninvited to our wedding! Dear Self, Try to be more forgiving of your FFIL's inadequacies. He needs to believe that college girls want him. Its a sickness. Also, get off the computer and do your wedding DIY's! And pay more attention to your FI. He's wonderful and way too good to you sometimes.
  2. Great job Lisa! I just got back from the gym. I was lazy this weekend... so I kicked my butt today. Will try to do it again tomorrow after work
  3. I think they're great Carly! I love that site too... I've been looking for paper lanterns
  4. We're doing the natural fans, and may print a poem or something to put on them, but no program. I think it really depends on what you want. I also wouldn't know what to put on my program. No attendants, and I think our ceremony will be fairly short.

Good point. I hear ya... I think diet coke was the only thing I drank for a long time. Working out really helps me to drink the water. And I honestly couldn't just cut down my diet coke. If I drink it, I want more. Its like liquid crack - lol.

What a great book title! I'll have to look for that. I pretty much lived on Diet Coke, but I've gone cold turkey for the last 2 weeks, and I feel pretty good. The first few days were tough, but I feel better now. I'm really trying to up my water, and its getting easier. I just got back from the gym and did really good today. 40 minutes of cardio and strength training today! I'm tired, but feel good
  7. For anyone who hasn't found it yet (and wants to): Main site: Free Diet Plans at SparkPeople BDW Team: BDW Gals SparkTeam We can definitely support each other on here for those that are using other systems
  8. I'm skipping them. We also don't have attendants, so I don't see the point. Sorry, no help here!
  9. Welcome! Let us know how we can help!
  10. I don't think we need to use sparkpeople to do this challenge... I really like the nutrition and exercise trackers, but the message boards are a little tough to navigate, especially at first. We could certainly do it on here, just keeping each other motivated For those that joined or are already members, we have a BDW team, so come find us! I find my hardest times to watch what I eat are at work (I do shift work) and there is ALWAYS junkfood around. I've been good today though
  11. Happy B-Day Lizz!!! Have a great one!
  12. I've heard the same things as Kate. We saw palladium rings at a few stores (very small selection) and the color was very close to my platinum e-ring. I've heard the same benefits - don't need to polish or rhodium plate it like platinum and white gold respectively. I'd say go for it if you can find it. Its in the same family of metals as platinum, and not cheap, but definitely cheaper.

I kind of like having a bigger band because you can see it from a mile away. The titanium is nice too because it is so light. I can not feel the weight of it at all. Did you end up having to get a size bigger than your finger size? I've read that for a band >6-7mm, you should size up half to a whole size.
  14. Sam is planning on getting either a 7.5 or 9mm band. We're going shopping again this week so he can feel what the different widths feel like. This is what he's planning on getting

  17. Awesome ladies!! We have a BDW team so definitely join us! Should we use BDW to have a motivation thread, or do it on spark? Glad you ladies are with me

I love the look of their resorts and can't wait!!!
  19. Hey ladies - I was wondering if anyone wanted to join me in trying to lose 5 lb's by the end of the month... I'm doing this on sparkpeople.com, but am seriously trying to consolidate my forum time - so maybe someone wants to join me in this quest here? My plan is to really watch what I eat this month, get myself to the gym at least 4 times a week, and to drink lots of water. My dress fitting is in November, and I want to do BD photos, so that's absolutely motivation! Anyone else in?
  20. Ok... BDW update. So I've been on this site for less than 2 weeks, and I've lost 2 lbs! Slow and steady wins the race, right? For anyone looking to lose weight, I'd definitely recommend sparkpeople. The calorie counter has really been a huge incentive to me, and I started getting back to the gym, so I'm on the right track!
  21. "It's that time of year to take our annual senior citizen test." Exercise of the brain is as important as exercise of the muscles. As we grow older, it's important to keep mentally alert. If you don't use it, you lose it! Below is a very private way to gauge your loss or non-loss intelligence. There are only 5 questions, so don't get all excited and confused yet. Take the test presented here to determine if you're losing it or not. The spaces between the question and answers below are there so you don't see the correct answers until you've made your answer. OK, relax, clear your mind and begin. 1. What do you put in a toaster? Answer: "bread." If you said "toast," maybe you should give up now and do something else. Try not to hurt yourself. If you said, bread, go to Question 2. 2. Say "silk" five times. Now spell "silk." What do cows drink? Answer: Cows drink water. If you said "milk," maybe you shouldn't even attempt to answer the next question. Your brain is apparently over-stressed and may even overheat. Content yourself with reading more appropriate literature such as Auto World. However, if you said "water", proceed to question 3. 3. If a red house is made from red bricks, and a blue house is made from blue bbricks, and a pink house is made from pink bricks, and a black house is made from black bricks, what is a green house made from? Answer: Greenhouses are made from glass. If you said "green bricks," why are you still reading these If you said "glass," go on to Question 4. 4. It's twenty years ago, and a plane is flying at 20,000 feet over Germany (If you will recall, Germany at the time was politically divided into West Germany and East Germany) Anyway, during the flight, TWO engines fail. The pilot, realizing that the last remaining engine is also failing, decides on a crash landing procedure. Unfortunately the engine fails before he can do so and the plane fatally crashes smack in the middle of "no man's land" between East Germany and West Germany Where would you bury the survivors? East Germany, West Germany, or no man's land"? Answer: You don't bury survivors. If you said ANYTHING else, you're in real bad shape and for your own sake you must stop. If you said, "You don't bury survivors", proceed to the next question. 5. Without using a calculator - You are driving a bus from London to Milford Haven in Wales. In London, 17 people get on the bus. In Reading, six people get off the bus and nine people get on. In Swindon, two people get off and four get on. In Cardiff, 11 people get off and 16 people get on. In Swansea , three people get off and five people get on. In Carmathen, six people get off and three get on. You then arrive at Milford Haven. What was the name of the bus driver? Answer: Oh, for crying out loud! Don't you remember your own name? Or have you forgotten it was YOU driving the BUS!! PS - 95% of people fail most of the questions!!
  22. I LOVE that dress... BCBG right? I'm a BCBG junkie. I absolutely love their dresses and they're so-oo flattering! I think its perfect for a destination wedding and you're going to look beautiful! Ignore the nay-sayers!

With this being the theme of my wedding, when I show some of my closest peeps my wedding dress they tell me..."Oh, I thought you would have something more glamourous than that." They are starting to make me feel like I need a "Wow" dress when that's not what I am going for. I want something natural and when I first saw my dress my eyes lit up. When I found out it was on sale and was $150 cheaper than I thought, my eyes lit up even more...lol. But even til this day, I look at the dress on line and I feel it and I am still in love with it... But is it appropriate since it is my BIG DAY Please give me words of wisdom ladies...lol If you love your dress, and its what you envisioned, it doesn't matter what other people think. I can't remember if you posted your dress, but I'm sure its beautiful Your vision sounds like a more laid back elegance, and a less formal dress would definitely be appropriate! It will be beautiful - go with what you want!
  24. They look great Trisha! Are you printing on a colored paper? I don't know if you meant it to be this way, but on page 1, the destination and location don't line up with places. The only thing I might add would be your wedding website address, if you're using one. Just a great place to direct people so they can find out more about your resort and plans Great job though!
  25. Susan - Thanks so much for sharing! I love your table numbers! And the bottles were a great idea instead of doing bags Congrats!
