  1. I really liked your wedding arch! I am also getting married at the Hilton- was that something they set up (if so, do you mind me asking the charge?), or did you go through a third party?
  2. Thank you so much for this post! Those are the islands my fiance and I are planning to visit for our Honeymoon. Did you go through a travel agent, or have a package deal?
  3. I eat the SAME THING every morning. It's a little over 200 calories (220) but worth the extra 20. Lean Pockets Multi-Grain Ham and cheese. If you have a microwave at work, pop it in for a minute 20 seconds and you're done. THis lasts me all morning without getting hungry until 12:30 or 1
  4. Thank you for the post! I am having my wedding at Hilton in May, and I have heard great things about Emiline so it is nice to see that recently confirmed.
  5. Yes, we are planning on the website. I was thinking January as well. Thanks for the feedback girls!
  6. I think I am going to skip the Save The Date's, and just do the wedding invite. I am planning on sending them out in September this year for my May 24th 2008 wedding. How long to you think I should give to RSVP? I would think it would be a little quicker to secure rooms at the hotel? I have a block of 10 (which we will definately exceed) just to put down the lowest deposit. Any suggestions?

It was perfect and we were all plenty drunk after 3 hours of open bar. An extra hour might have been very bad That is a really good point by Janet1111. ARe you planning on taking your pictures before hand? It will be getting dark around 6:30, definately 7pm. Did you ask your WC? I would start the ceremony earlier just to ensure lightness and to give longer for dancing.
  8. I was always planning on Carrot Cake because that is my fiance's favorite. However, I like the idea of Tres Leches, goes more with the Mexican theme, and not too many people have that at thier weddings. Hmmm....
  9. Wow- those are so cute! Did you find enough for everyone? Were they at the store or online?
  10. Here are my tips for losing weight (I was a Nutritional Science Major is school) Keep your calorie intake to 1200 per day (Do not go below!) Excersise 30 - 45 minutes 6x per week (I would skip weights for now- sometimes they can add bulk if you are trying to slim down) Minimize processed carbs- the ones you do have make sure they are whole grain and before 4pm Protein it out at night Reduce Alcohol (when you do drink- keep it to low sugar drinks or a dry wine) Treat yourself 1x per week to an "eat" meal- this is kind of a cheat to let you have what you normally wouldn't (within reason) so you don't feel too deprived. Guaranteed you will lose 3-4 lbs per week the first couple weeks, then 2 lbs per week following. Also, becuase this way it's more of a lifestyle change as opposed to a "diet"- it will help you keep the weight off. Good Luck!! K.
  11. We are having ours at The Hilton- we also chose not to do an AI because we felt it was too expensive for our guests. Also, I felt like I was paying twice for food because you still need to pay for the cocktail reception and dinner at most places. Anyway, we are budgeting for 60 people, and I am at about $25000. Hopefully won't go too much over that. You will find so much info on this site I am sure you can make it happen! PS- I am in San Diego as well
  12. Not sure if you girls have ever seen this website- it's great. They give all kinds of recipes for reduced calorie favorites, as well as new products that come out on the market. You can sign up for their newsletter for daily tips. I'm addicted! HungryGirl.com

  17. Yes, I was going to do that- especially since it is so hot. I'm not going to have a bar, maybe just some waiters with margaritas and lemondade and water. Haven't worked it out as of yet.
