  1. Ahhh. Day care. Those 2 words scare me. One of the reasons we moved back from San Antonio. I was afraid that I wouldn't find a place that I would like. At least her there is a Methodist church that supposedly has a great day care. I think when he is about 4 months I will drop him off once a week (while I am hoping to substitute teach) so we can both get used to it. 9 students with 3 teachers is a good ratio! Do they have a webcam?

My mom used to make that for me when I was little and couldn't sleep If it's any consolation, I'm up from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday for work ~ yep it blows!! I've been doing it for a year now and I swear no matter how much I sleep I'm still exhausted. So believe me, I feel your pain girl!! ahhh. I was gonna ask why you were awake at 3am! That work schedule probably took some getting used to. Can I ask what type of work you do? I would hate to work the graveyard shift or third shift or whatever it is they call it now. And, unfortunately, I hate milk. I think I am gonna go make my husband breakfast now...might as well be productive.
  3. Rosa, Thanks for all that helpful info. I have always had insomnia and take sleeping pills, but since I got pregnant I stopped taking them. Actually, since I got pregnant I haven't needed them. I am always so sleepy..well, up until this week! I think my problem is that I am taking a year off work to be with my son, so I am not on a normal sleep schedule. For instance, I got up yesterday morning at 5:30 to make my husband breakfast and lunch and then finally fell back to sleep around 8ish and didn't wake up until 11:00am. I think that once I get up at 5:30 I just need to stay awake and find something to do instead of going back to bed. I am just trying to take advantage of all the sleep I can get now before my son arrives! But, I appreciate your advice! My mind always wonders, which is why I usually take sleeping pills... As for San Antonio, we actually just moved from there. I need to change my location. We lived there for about a year....I still have siblings there though, so I might be able to help ya out. I don't know anyone that commutes to Austin for more money, but it might depend on what type of job you are looking for? Shoot me a PM and I'll help ya out best I can!
  4. And, I haven't slept a wink. My sleep schedule is so jacked up. I have to be up in an hour and a half to make Jay breakfast and pack his lunch. Luckily I can go back to bed for a few hours before I have to be up to run errands.... This bites....every night it just gets later and later...last night I didn't go to bed until almost 3am. Ugh.
  5. Ancient Filipino Secret! I dunno about how to make pancit, but I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE lumpia! When Jay and I first started dating, Thursdays was our beer and lumpia night. Oh, those were the days!
  6. That's horrible. I hear kidney stones are super painful. I hope he feels better soon!
  7. I have seen a few episodes.... I think Slade is still in love with her! I think she just did the show to boost her singing career?
  8. It may be different down here, but we usually just apply online with the different districts and then send resumes to the principals of each school. Our state also has education service centers that are broken up by the different regions of our state where all the jobs available are listed. I don't think my answer helped you much...sorry
  9. Our shower is the 20th and I am so excited! Not because we are going to get gifts but because I never thought I would ever have a BABY SHOWER! I am so emotional today!
  10. I always overtip. Even if I hate the cut or color. I need to stop doing that and start complaining if I don't like it!
  11. I am so excited! I can't wait to tell Jay!
  12. When I had my dress altered, my lady advised to get a strapless bra. The cups would not work for me. Typically I am a D cup, but now that I am pregnant I am an E. I couldn't get a bustier because I am pregnant and would have been super uncomfortable. And, baby would have been squished. ha! The strapless bra worked well for me....could this be an option for you?
  13. oh! So I guess I haven't seen it in 3 years then? I bet I could go rent the last season and get caught up quick! Maybe I will do that this weekend. I thought I was many seasons behind! Oh wait....man. The Cleaner comes on on Tuesday nights. I need to DVR something!
  14. Mo, bless your heart! I bet you can't wait for all this IV stuff to go away! It will be so worth it in the end though (of course you already know that!). I hope they are able to get you off IV next week! So.....I keep thinking I am going to deliver early. I have a feeling this boy is huge and since I already have va jay jay issues, you think he might. Of course I wanna wait until at least 38 weeks though. You think this is happening early or am I right on track?
  15. I saw this earlier on Google. I've never even heard about it...I never pay attention to stuff like that. I still use IE....old school!

Hold the damn noise! The last episode I saw was when Lem died. I thought the shows on FX were new ones? Were they just reruns?!
  17. So much fun stuff to look forward to, thanks Laura! ha! Man, I hope I can have sex later...I know that is supposed to help with labor.
  18. Ha! That's funny! I have never heard it called a "monkey!" Mine is kinda constant...started 2-3 days ago and hasn't left.
  19. I can't think of anytihing besides the typical "y'all." And no, we don't all have southern/country accents. In fact, I don't know anyone that does!
  20. Speaking of va-jay-jay, this is probably TMI, but mine is sore.....it feels like we had a wild night of sex. I guess it's just my body adjusting and getting ready for delivery?
  21. 3D pictures and you haven't shared, Karma? Hmmm, maybe he is head down already? I feel a lot of movement (kinda like waves) to the sides of my belly button area. And I feel kicks or punches along that area also..kinda like in the middle of my belly? I thought I was going to get another sono, but it hasn't been scheduled yet. I go back on the 8th, so I will ask then. We are playing clasical music for Noah because "they" (whoever they are) say that it is supposed to make them smarter and more musically inclined. I am pretty sure genetics determines intelligence, but whatever. We also have a baby microphone/ear phone set and we take turn reading books to him.
  22. Does anyone play music for their baby yet? I wanted to start at the 5 month mark, but I got sidetracked. We have been doing it for a few weeks now. Sometimes he moves, sometimes he doesn't. Thing is, I really don't know which way he is positioned. I think by now he is breech and not sideways anymore, but I can never tell!
