I agree that you look gorgeous in your dress and don't be too sad that you can't keep it, most likely it would hang in storage for decades anyway.
  2. We did OOT bags and CD favors. I made them myself fairly inexpensively. I bought a stack of blank CD's on sale for $9 and burned songs from the wedding soundtrack. I ordered custom labels and had a photo of the beach at Las Caletas printed with our names and the songs. That only cost $1.25 each label. I ordered white cardboard cases for something like 50cents each and ordered stickers of our mongram to decorate them. I hand wrote thank you notes and glued them in. Then, I found an ebay seller that had thick brown ribbon for like 20cents a yard, wrapped them, and sealed them with a sticker. It was much easier than it sounds and cost less than $100 total!
  3. I used Creative Montage and they are very affordable and flexible - I had them make 6 monograms and changed each one several times. I also ordered monogram sitckers there for my favors. They make some pretty invitations too. Here is the site: Creative Montage... For Today's Sophisticated Bride

    Hola!

    Happy planning )
  5. Wow that's unfortunate/ridiculous! Here's hoping things turn around soon.
  6. I'm not a Dreams PV bride but I'm pretty sure you can set it up however you want. I would email your WC and tell her/him who you want to play when, then remind them if you meet when you get there, and remind them again the day of...just to make sure they get it right )

Well I say make them then! I sent out std's, a second std reminder, and formal invitations. I also loved designing and sending out formal invitations though because there are few occasions where you can do that so I had fun with it. The cool thing about a DW is you can break tradition, but it sounds like you want to make those invites so why not?
  8. Welcome! What a great location. Happy planning!!

    Hi ya'll

Hi Sharon Like Ann I married at Las Caletas, PV, MX and stand strongly behind it. Since you're not decided check it out for the heck of it, it's lovely. I also honeymooned at the RIU Ocho Rios and it is quite beautiful there too. You'll find a lot of info here no matter where you end up...best wishes )
  10. We ordered 75 STD magnets for $65 plus s&h at Save the Date Magnets for Weddings and special occasions!* We have photo wedding magnets too! They looked similar to this: Between STD's & invites we sent reminder postcards with pics of PV on the front and our info on the back. They were easy to design and we got 100 for $30 at: Business Cards & More at PrintsMadeEasy.com Our invitations were made by White Aisle and came to $4-5 each. This is similar but the floral design was all orange, text was chocolate, and we changed the size to 6x8. The White Aisle : Unique Wedding Favors and Invitations

  12. I've been waiting for this one!!! Best wishes on your huge wedding Anny!! I know all of your hard work will be so worth it )
  13. Wow Ann that is very pretty, great idea! I assume that's not still hanging up in your house . . . . or is Paul that cool? LOL
  14. ANN!! They must have sent ours off together. Since I'm a nerd I've been using the tracking number Nicole gave me all week and watching it go from PV to Guadalajara to Ohio and now it's here, well according to the DHL tracker it arrived today. I've been gone so my building signed for it and it is locked up in the office. It's killing me . . . I'm taking a road trip so I don't know when I'll see mine either. Arrrrgh!!

We've lived together for years so after the engagement nothing changed except we were both super excited. No new fights, just an ever evolving understanding of the nature of men vs. women - i.e. he was content to pick the first invitation he saw whereas I needed options. Compromise is key, even if that means you get the short end of the stick sometimes. Unfortunately that comes with the territory in serious relationships. It takes time but you'll get the right balance eventually. In Psyc. of Marriage class I took years ago, it was said that the #2 predictor of a successful marriage is the willingness of both parties to attend counseling if need be. (#1 was decision to commit to each other exclusively) Maybe it's outdated but I think it holds true. In the mean time, hang in there
  16. Have fun Amy and Kevin!!! Enjoy the honeymoon )
  17. No worries at all, you have more than enough time. A year before my wedding date we weren't even engaged yet and it came together quite nicely....yours will too )
  18. Yeah Christine I forgot about that....we wanna know!!
