  1. I can't help you with the spanish guitar (that song that Sol and Matt used was awesome).. we used Michael Buble's "Everything".. it was really upbeat and perfect.
  2. It's raining in Malibu right now. It's suppose to get nicer starting Sunday but I wouldn't count on the pool.
  3. You could layer a PDF under your document (open it and then type over it.. ) then remove it before printing... where did you get it? Maybe that person has a native file format for you to use? Or..we might be able to locate a different template for the same project.
  4. What about flip flops or ballet type shoes? Will you be on sand most of the time?
  5. We took photos on the beach and bustled it out there.. mine was just a hook on the back so it didn't require the girls to get under it to tie anything..
  6. It's a gorgeous dress but wowsers! it costs more than my wedding dress. Your girls are going to look great!
  7. Wow! What a great gift. I'm in tears and she isn't even my sister! lol You're lucky to have such a wonderfully supportive person in your life.

Soon your entire vision will be there and you'll avoid buying "crap" you don't actually need or stuff you changed your mind on.
  9. So much hair! She looks so perfect and I'm really glad to hear about her breathing on her own.. she should be called "miracle baby"!
  10. That's great! I was really worried about what they were going to do while they're out in CA (too bad they're here for June gloom!) AND getting the baby home. I think it's a very appropriate gift. Great job girls!
  11. Sounds great so far.. oh and you don't have to look at dresses until after this summer.. I think they usual ordering time is only 6 months max. Unless you don't mind being a 2 or 3 dress bride.
  12. Maura, Are your vendors local and will they be aware of the custom? If not, you should probably give them a courtesy heads up to bring snacks/drinks... otherwise you might have one cranky photographer.. and/or sick from the heat, hard work, and lack of food.
  13. I bought a Broncos one and played some stripping music and had Matt go get it, but I put it on just before that point because it was lacy (ie itchy) and I didn't want to worry about it falling down while I walked around. We had fun with it but didn't toss the garter or the bouquet.
  14. We had the same thing happen.. stupid online weather sites! There was a hurricane close by just the week before.. guess what? Sunny and 90 every day there! Try not to stress about something you can't control..
  15. I wore my great grandma's necklace that she, my grandma, and my aunt wore for their weddings. At first I was only going to wear it during the ceremony because it was gold and didn't "go" with anything else I was wearing.. it's funny how emotional I became on my wedding day and I couldn't bear to take it off. The chain was too long and you couldn't even see the pendant but I didn't care... at the reception my grandma told me to keep the necklace and pass it to my daughter. Sorry.. I tried to resize but it isn't updating.
  16. We received digital photos so we made a slideshow and sent it to our friends and family but didn't have prints made for anyone.. in fact, I'm not sure that we made prints even for ourselves!
  17. Great thought on stopping at the ruin.. those photos are my favorite! Sooo dramatic!
  18. My girlfriend had candybars with custom label.. the ingredients list was cute (kinda like the wedding ones)
  19. Was that at the ruins? I thought you couldn't take photos there? Love your dress!
  20. Great photos! Water looks beautiful and it looks like you guys had fun with it.

Karin Karin, We actually had a set menu and we were sat on the veranda so we weren't actually in the restaurant.. in fact the food we ate was from their catering menu. I believe it was a mexican buffet. They handled all decor (colored table clothes) and even a carved watermelon as part of the buffet decor. It worked out very nicely. We had a party of 40 or so. I wouldn't recommend much more for that space. We didn't have seating arrangements and guests just picked a table and sat (of course we had the few that moved chairs and squeezed in to sit at one table or another.) The view was pretty and they have a small water pond on the side.
  22. Thanks Christine. I sent a donation yesterday! Whatever we can do to help them prepare for their trip home and to make her more comfortable while she's in CA.

They danced around DH & I with the fire, and that fire is HOT! I know Rachel knows! I have a black mark on my dress from where they got a little close...lol We didn't have the option to have them dance by us.. that would of been cool but I'm glad we just got to sit and enjoy the show. we were at the Oceana Terrace and they performed in the grass. It was a surprise for our guests at 8:30.. the kind of snuck up in the dark and setup while people were dancing.. then the dancefloor went dark and the DJ asked everyone to take their seats.. a second or so later the drum beat started.. it was really slow beat at first then their techno music came on with this great rhythm. Our videographer was able to stay and capture the dancing and music on tape. The girls were really cute and they had a few guys in the background to help with extinguishing and setting up their different fire things that they held.
  24. We had fire dancers in Cabo (booked through our coordinator). They were $675 for their 13 minute show and worth every penny!
