So when it came ot taking it off I was having problems. First I was getting all clamy and sweaty which did not help the process. Second I got it over my head and then got stuck, I started hyperventalating and FREAKING OUT. No one was home but FH! I didn't know what to do so I started moving and shaking in hoped to get it off. But nope no luck.... finally something gave and the dress came off. I was about 10 seconds off of calling FH though who would have seen the dress. geeze so close! I learned my lesson and I will NOT be trying it on again without help. LOL ROFL ~ You are totally cracking me up!!! I can totally see myself doing that. I get stuck in clothes while in the dressing room all the time!
  2. Good Luck Fo & Jay!! I hope everything is perfect! I hope the starfish brings you as much happiness as it brought me (and I hope you fixed it well enough so it wont break =) Have a safe trip!

Leigh - This was the slide show I saw when I decided that was "the dress" for me. I actually think our dresses were the same. Mine was a Galina at David's Bridal on sale for like $300 (if you're looking for something cheaper) Here's mine:

  5. We tipped our WC $100. She was very appreciative. Our hotel photog on the other hand....did a great job and we were going to tip him $100 also (I had it in my hand about to hand it to him), but he asked me for a tip then handed me an envelope with his name and "tip" on it. I was like, are you kidding me...you can't ASK for a tip!!?? I ended up giving him $20 because I was not very happy with the way he handled it. But by that time in our trip after all the bad things happened to us....I could care less about what people thought about me and the tip I left them.
  6. It's just so annoying!! Rachelle - I CAN NOT believe it took you a year to change everything. If I'm still working on this in a year....someone please shoot me!
  7. O.k., so I started the name change process 2 weeks ago. Drivers license (check), Social Security card (check), Bank (check)....those were the easy ones. I swear credit card companies act like they're the freakin god of gods. First off, I jumped through their hoops and faxed the marriage certificate along with a letter asking to change my name and issues new cards - just as they asked me to do. WELL I'm now getting letters in the mail asking me to send in the "legal" document reflecting the change, so they can finish their process.....HELLO?? That's what I already freakin did, you idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!! I swear they have the most imcompetent people working for customer service at credit card companies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Argh....I just needed to let that out!! So now I get to mail in what I already faxed once and waited and waited with nothing being done!
  8. We all loved the food at El Patio. They have several types of steak, fish and chicken. It's not like tamales and enchiladas. But it was all good.
  9. James and his guys didn't wear one either. I didn't care either way.
  10. I was just cruising Martha Stewart's site and ran across these. Look how cute!! You can use oversize shells to bring a touch of the seashore -- and a bit of romantic atmosphere. We used "lion's paw" shells (Lyropecten nodosus), available inexpensively from online auctions and souvenir shops. Fill a shallow tray with sand, arrange pairs of your prettiest specimens, and place a votive candle at the center of each pair (leaving room for the flames to flicker safely).
  11. That seems a little high. Mine was only $100... I say get a 2nd quote.
  12. I walked on the treadmill last night. Just couldn't make myself run. Oh well, I walked 2 1/2 miles in 35 minutes.
  13. Yah ~ ~ I can finally post and say I actually did something. I took off the week before we left for the wedding, and haven't worked out since. I finally ran Sunday night 1 1/2 miles...and ran 3 miles last night. I can't believe I went almost 4 weeks w/o working out at all. I guess the break was good, now back to the pavement!!
