  1. Sarah - these look great! I like the single palm tree with your names as well. the shells are also so cute. Can you get her to add your names to the shell design or maybe make it bold in the one that does have your name, just to see what it looks like?? I'm having the same problem trying to figure out which of mine I like best!
  2. I read the entire review and it was great!!! Thanks for taking the time to write this up Jen! I'm SO glad everything turned out so well. It sounds amazing! Now I'm going to look at your pictures - I can't wait to see your flowers and all the details!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!
  3. SO CUTE! I was wondering what papel picado was. I have seen these before and LOVE it! I might get some for my Rehearsal dinner (mexican buffet). And yes, you should definitely use it for the baby shower!!
  4. thank you for posting the budget! you are so organized! i have to start tracking all of my expenses!! did you get the luminaries from maye or mariana and how many did you use? thanks for all of the great info!!
  5. We are just going to use sand from Cabo. The sand right out in front of Dreams is nice - we looked at it when we were there for this purpose. We are not using colored sand but figure it will mean just as much since it is cabo sand. i want to do the frame idea - if anyone has done it, can you let us know?? thanks!!!
  6. Wow! Nice job! I love them. Did you follow the instructions from the other post on luminaries? I have yet to try it... I think you should lower the design and maybe make it a size in between the 2 - a little bigger than the first and a little smaller than your big one. or just try it lowered first (kept small). THEY ARE GREAT!!
  7. Quote: Today 08:11 PM sanchez0014 I'm sorry to sound like an idiot but what does a sand ceremony signify and can you do it at any resort as part of the ceremony? There is another post on here somewhere that has details on the wording for the sand ceremonies. Do a search for it. I think it's a really nice idea and I definitely plan to do it. i have to figure out our containers!
  8. Congratulations Ali! Your wedding looks amazing!! So happy for you!
  9. I'm glad you asked this b/c I need to start thinking about the same thing. My photographer (Juan Carlos) said to be careful with an arch b/c a lot of times the back is not decorated and when he takes pictures from behind the arch, it doesn't look as good (wires or netting on the back). I'm debating btwn an arch, 2 pedestals or maybe a 4 post tent-like huppa covering - I've seen with bamboo posts and something on the top. I'll try to find a pic. My main idea is to keep it simple and beachy but I do want something where we are standing. Let me know you decide or if anyone else has suggestions for what to do for a beach wedding.
  10. You are the best! I just PM'ed you, but I will do so again for my address.
  11. welcome back! we can't wait to hear all about it and your ideas too!! congratulations!!!
  12. I'm going to have the older kids at the reception - as tammy & natalie said, i'm sure they will be entertained! i do have some friends coming with babies though and we will need to figure out babysitter. i think we will probably get nannies thru dreams. maye also said she could give me a recommendation. be aware that after 10pm, you have to pay extra (i think $30) for their taxi fare since there are no more buses. i'm going to email maye again for rates, so i'll let you know.
  13. thanks for the pictures! i think i'm going to order those bags - so cute!
  14. Juan Carlos recommended that we have our ceremony at least 2 hrs before sunset so we have plenty of light for pics. I don't think that's too early. We're probably doing our ceremony at 5pm.
  15. I LOVE your pictures! YOu look so beautiful and the setting is incredible! It looks like such a fun party too! You must relive it each time you see the pics!! I have a question - were the rose petals already on the aisle & the flower girl just added to it? I love the way it looks!! How many bags of rose petals did you get? We are going to have 4 flower girls (my little nieces) so I want to be sure I add enough in our budget.
  16. Congratulations and thanks for your great review! everything looked absolutely amazing! I like the way the huppa looked!! I love the buckets and the red roses and your train! was it hard to walk in the sand with the train? did you have someone fluffing it out for you? also, what are papel picado (rehearsal dinner decorations)
  17. The fish (& flip flop) playing cards are GREAT! thanks for the idea Ana!!!
  18. Christa - I LOVE them!! They look professional! Great job!! I'm going to start thinking about mine next weekend. I'm sure I'm going to have tons of questions... Yours look fantastic! Congrats!!
  19. Ann - i love yours! i just got mine last night and one is the same as yours. here are mine: { aylee designs } - Projects » Jen & Keith I'm asking for a few changes to the colors. she created them so fast!!
  20. can't wait to read the others! i wasn't even considering fire dancers... hmmm??
  21. I will PM you! I want to order one too - such a great idea!!!
  22. thanks for the ideas Janet. someone had just told me about getting invites from Costco - I'm going to look into it!
  23. I think $2.50 is a great price for the straw bags. I was just going to get one per room, not per person. Let me know what you find out about prices. While I was in Cabo, I went to the flea market and I could get them down to about $5-6 per straw bag (they wanted $12 each bag originally). Let us know what you find. thanks!
