  1. Congratulations - It looks like it was a beautiful wedding! I personally love the one of the guys holding you up - very cute!
  2. WOW - These are absolutely beautiful! Tammy - you both look amazing and so happy! Juan, great work! Love the song choice! Melissa
  3. I asked about the same two flowers - and the florist I was working with said peonies are not available, even in the spring. Dahlias did not appear to be available either, at least not through the florist we are using. I would suggest emailing your florist and telling her you like the look of those two type of flowers and seeing what options she would suggest. Sorry I can't be of more help! Melissa
  4. Hey Shelley - your book looks great! I'm in the process of making mine through Kodak, so I'm so happy to hear you like how yours turned out! Thanks for posting! Melissa
  5. My FI is Jewish and as a way of honoring his mother (who passed away right before we met) we'd like to incorporate the breaking of the glass into our ceremony. Unfortunately, Adam does not know any of the details of the tradition, so I had a few questions that I'm hoping someone can help with. 1. What type of glass should be used? 2. What type of fabric should be used to wrap around the glass? (I recently saw an article about making a bag for this purpose) 3. What is done with the glass and cloth after it is smashed? (In particular if just wrapped in a cloth, I would be afraid some could fall out). In my mind I can see the sentimentality of keeping it in a special place, but was not sure traditionally what was done. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! Melissa
  6. Oh hadn't seen that yet! Thanks for sharing the info! Do you know where the accomodations are through - I'm guessing the Cabo Del Sol condos? Very good to know - thanks again!
  7. I'd be happy to email you pics - if you want, PM me your email and I'll forward the ones from our WC and from our scouting trip.
  8. Love the pics - they all look beautiful! Can't wait to see the pro pics now!
  9. It is just the two golf courses and clubhouse. However it is located within the Cabo Del Sol complex, which has both the Sheraton and Fiesta Americana. There are condos and villas (Cabo Del Sol and Puerta Del Sol) located within the complex as well. We've got most of our staying at the Sheraton or at villas overlooking the golf course. They will provide transporation (for a fee - not exactly sure the amount but remember it was reasonable) for your guests staying within the CDS complex to and from the clubhouse for the wedding/reception.
  10. I am having my reception there and we are expecting 140-150. I believe they told us they could go up to 180. I went and visited the location, did a food tasting, etc - and couldn't be happier that we choose this place. The people are so nice, Susanna the event coordinator is great! And the food was incredible!!! They are allowing us to customize the menu and have been so accomodating to our needs. All in all - I can't say enough great things about the location.... Let me know if you have any specific questions. I've got a lot of pictures I can email as well. Melissa
  11. Absolutely beautiful pics! I would have troubles narrowing them down too - they all look amazing!
  12. Hi Becky! I have not made the luggage tags yet, but have been looking into them so that I can send them out to people right before the wedding. We found an inexpensive laminator at Office Max (or Office Depot...can't remember which one...). We wanted them to be a little sturdier, so are going this route. We priced the sleeves at $5 for 25. I've also priced out places like Kinkos to have them laminate them for us and we found that buying our own laminator and the sleeves was much less expensive. We are also using the business card size - haven't started my template for this yet. Best of luck with your project! Melissa

  14. I just got my cooler order from 4imprint and they look great! We had them print our logo on the front and it turned out just like we wanted. We both are very happy with the end result! Not sure if the sale is still going on for these, but thought I'd pass the info along. I'm sure they will have more sales on these in the future... Also, I tested them out and you can lay down 6 bottle of beer/water inside or 9 cans of beer. And they seem to fold down real nicely - think they would be pretty easy to transport. Now if I can only figure out how to post the pics.... Ok, it isn't working... saying page not found... If anyone wants a picture I'd be happy to email them to you. Just PM me. Also I've uploaded three pics into the forum's photobucket account. Melissa
  15. We are having the waiters greet the guests with water, wine, beer and margaritas as they arrive at the ceremony - but not having the full bar open until after the ceremony.
  16. Congratulations! You all look so happy!! Love the dress!
  17. mlb36 - I just realized your wedding is in RM (and we are doing the Sunset Cruise with a company in Cabo...)- I'm sure there is a company there that does the same thing. I've vacationed down there a lot and in my experience RM is typically less expensive than Cabo, so hopefully you could find a good deal on a similar thing!
  18. You pay to rent out the boat - which is $3200 for domestic bar or $3552 for international bar. This is for up to 50 people. Then each additional person is $33.60 for domestic bar and $36 for international bar. Max capacity is 150. This includes drinks and dinner which was a mexican buffet. Grilled steak, chicken, veggies, rice, beans, and stuff for nachos and tacos. They have two boats, we are using the larger one. Not sure if the smaller one would be less money for a group smaller than 50. We didn't have our WC price that one, so it might be worth looking into. The cruise takes you from the marina up around Lover's Arch, back down past all the hotels on the corridor, and then back to the marina. We had a blast on the cruise and think it will be a lot of fun for our guests to go on together. We also are doing ours in February and are hoping we will get to see a lot of whales. One side note - they do have a sound system and play music during the cruise. I asked about bringing an ipod and they will let you play your own music. The music they use was pretty good - very cheesy though. We are pretty picky about music and so we thought we'd bring our own. When I asked about this they were very accomodating and willing to do whatever we wanted. Very helpful and friendly staff! Let me know if you have any other questions! Melissa
  19. We are doing a Sunset Cruise through Sunrider. We've got a large group and really wanted a way to get them out of the resort for at least one night. My family and I took the cruise when we were there last month and the company that runs it is very nice. I've got the prices also if you are interested. Melissa
  20. Our Story - Restaurant Ediths - Cabo San Lucas - Los Cabos - San Jose del Cabo - Mexico, Mexican Food, Dine Under The Stars We went to Edith's for dinner one night - was pricey, but very good! The shrimp scampi was wonderful! We also ate at Pitahayas at the Sheraton. Again, pricey, but good food and we sat right on the water. Their lobster with vanilla bean sauce was amazing! Pitahayas Restaurant | Los Cabos We also loved Mi Casa and the Nowhere Bar. If you like Salsa dancing check out the Mambo Cafe.
