  1. Good Luck with your planning!
  2. Great Job Melissa, I'm in the same boat, I forgot to post this yesterday, but I lost .8 lbs, I'm just happy that I lost, because the last few weeks have been horrible with eating bad stuff! So this brings me to 9.8 lbs lost, will I ever break the 10 lb. mark??
  3. Hi Vanessa! I'm sorry you're frustrated, I wish we could be more help, but I don't think any of us have gotten married there yet, we're all still planning. I can tell you that I hired claudia for my photographer and my package is $1000, its package #2, I think the lowest package was $850 & the higher one was $1650? I am not doing a cigar roller, so I don't really know about the cost of that, but if you search the forum there is a thread about cigar rollers to give you a ballpark cost. The price does seem high, in my opinion, but I could be wrong. Let me know if you need help with anything else and I'll do my best to help you. And please, please, please, post a detailed review and pictures when you get back, I know all of us dreams cancun brides are anxiously awaiting for someone to get married there and give us all the details!
  4. Welcome to the forum, be careful it becomes addicting!
  5. Welcome Denise! If you tell us a little about what you're looking for maybe we can help direct you. Good luck with your planning, you'll find lots of helpful information here!
  6. Welcome! Tell us about your location and the other details! Let us know if you need help with anything!
  7. Thanks Jennette. I guess we can always enjoy a little bit of cocktail hour with our guests first and then head out to take some pictures, while they finish cocktail hour, we'll see.

    Hello

Welcome Amy! Let us know how we can help you!
  9. let me know if you can't find it and I'll go back and take a picture, the mall is right down the street from my work, how convenient for me!
  10. Anny, I know you mentioned you were looking for that tiffany blue color, this is unrelated to favor boxes, but I don't know if you have any young girls in your wedding, but when I was at macy's last week they had a tiffany blue dress for girls, I think it was made of organza or something, something kind of sheer, looked like maybe it was an easter dress (but pretty fancy) it was pretty, $75, I wanted to take a picture, but this saleslady was lurking around and I thought she might think I was crazy! If I hadn't just bought a dress for hailey the day before, I may have bought this one, just thought I'd mention it!
  11. Christine, I like the rosie bands, I think they're pretty, but they do kind of look like the headbands you put on a little kid that doesn't have much hair to show they are a girl, IMHO. That being said, I still think they would look really cute as part of your wedding if you didn't want to spend the money on the tiaras, the girls will look adorable.
  12. Welcome Nancy! Tell us more about your plans!
  13. thanks for the information shelley, I'll have to check them out. I've tried a lot of dresses on in the stores and I know what I like and dislike, so if I can find a dress on ebay, thats not too expensive and something I like I'll probably go for it. But its good to hear who other people have used or have researched. Thanks
  14. I just talked to my TA and she said I should try to get the invites out 6 months in advance, ughh, I thought I had more time. I guess I'll shoot for the beginning of April. It will be good to know sooner rather than later who plans to come, but I know people are such procrastinators!
  15. Lenita, I am getting so excited for you!!! OMG, I'm not even going to be able to sleep for like a month before my wedding! you must be so excited!
  16. Shelley, since you've done some of the research would you mind telling me which ones you thought looked like good ones to buy from. I'm considering doing this too, but am nervous, but if I can save some money, I'm all for it.
  17. I kind of read your post wrong the first time I replied, I guess I didn't realize you had a date chosen, yes I'm an idiot. I think the more notice you can give people the better, but if you're planning your wedding for august, I think you still have enough time to notify people and they can decide if they are able to go.

I have been purchasing a lot from Ebay for the wedding, so don't be nervous. Just make sure you don't wait till the last minute. If anything is wrong you can always get a replacement. Jenetta, you'll definetly have to let us know about the quality and could you tell me which vendor you are buying from? I've been looking at them and they're such a good deal, but I'm so nervous about the quality. Please let me know how yours turns out, I hope wonderful!
  19. I wanted to give my guests as much notice as possible so that they could start saving, so I sent my std's out right after new years for my wedding in October. I guess it depends on your group, I know my friends and family don't have tons of money and they also have other priorities, some of them have to request vacation time early because of their profession, so giving them a lot of notice was important for us.
