  1. I def like the first one better. I think its so elegant! And the price, wow! Why didn't I see this dress when I went to DB??
  2. Very nice!! IMHO, I like it w/out the optional sleaves. Congrats!
  3. Mine is ivory. I knew I didn't want a white dress. For some reason, I've always loved ivory (light champagne) wedding dresses.
  4. I only tried on one dress from this designer and it was about $800. However RK Bridal will beat any price. Try calling them RK Bridal find a lower price and we will beat it by 5% A few other brides on the forum were able to get a great deal.
  5. They are both beautiful, but I like the fit of the 2nd one. But I think it would look better with a thicker sash??
  6. I just went to LV for NY's and stayed at the Las Vegas Hilton. Its off the strip however, the monorail (?) stops at the Hilton and takes you straight to the strip so you really don't need to walk it. (I will also be there in February). I don't know about prices since my mother invited us and she gets great deals (pretty much free) from all her years of gambling there, hehe. Its a nice hotel, great casino and great pool. We've also stayed at Bally's and Paris (both for coed Bachelor/ette parties) and I preferred Paris. Both are pretty affordable.
  7. I'm so sorry Mo, I wish there was more I could say, but I guess there isn't anyway anyone can prepare themselves for this. My heart goes out to you and your family.
  8. Its beautiful!!! The detail of the sunburst is amazing!
  9. Those are great Trisha!!! What weight did you purchase the white metallic paper?? I'm thinking of purchasing text weight to make it easier to print, but I've read most brides have used cardstock.
  10. We will provide meals for our photog and her assistant, and now that we hired and outside WC, I assume we will feed her too. However, we have a 5-pc band for 5 hours, the contract states that they need a table for breaks and non-alcoholic drinks, but doesn't mention food. I'm going to wait it out to see how many guests attend the wedding before I offer food, thats a lot of plates$$$!
  11. Thats great Tammy!!! I *REALLY* need to get a new camera, how can I blog with no pics
  12. Kelly, you are so creative!!! Your guests will love it!!!! Keep the ideas coming! (cause I need them, lol!)
  13. Thanks for all the feed back! Quote: Originally Posted by carlymcmullen I don't think I have ever seen a veil like that before. The pictures look great. But what happens as they lift it? I've read that you are supposed to attach the veil with hat pins however a clear comb can be added for more security. I don't plan to wear a veil for the reception. I think the veil would fold over after its lifted. But I guess I need to look more into it. Quote: Originally Posted by Christine Amy I think its beautiful and it will look amazing on you! But I will def keep you updated! Quote: Originally Posted by NABUMBAH I am a big fan of drop veils. 14. Kate, wow! Congrats! you looked so beautiful!!!! did you wear you LB shoes?? (sorry, i can't spell out the name)
  15. Does anyone have any thoughts on this type of veil?? Here's my issue. I really want a long, long (I mean regal length, maybe chapel) veil and thought I would get a Mantilla style. However, I also really want a blusher but can't seem to picture a Mantillas stype veil with a blusher, especially since I want to wear the veil low (tucked into a low messy do). So I came across a drop veil and thought it looked beautiful although I don't think I could do lace with it since it would be to busy. what do you all think? 16. Celina, thanks for the review. But is this a review of the Grand Mayan Palace in Nuevo Vallarta or the Mayan Palace in the Marina (in Puerto Vallarta)?
  17. heavy cardstock for 2 passes: less than $20 for 100 sheets (3 passes/sheet) cardstock for envelope: free (1 pack from mom's work) #10 envelopes for mailing: free again from mom's work print at home: free stamps: $110 i believe (we needed double postage since one of the passes doubled as a post card/reply for a prelim rsvp) rotary cutter: $30 I don't know how many I made but I assume about 120?? I still have supplies left over (including stamps). I guess I spent a little over a dollar for each and most of that was due to postage.
