I found this link on her website to a pwrpoint on how to make your own Video: Make Your Own Wedding Monogram in PowerPoint
  2. Ohh... My main color is Brown, with accents of green and white! How interesting..
  3. Jamy, we are not having a welcome dinner. (we can barely afford the wedding) But I am planning on organizing a "party" day cruise (which includes drinks, lunch, music) and hopefully arranging for group rates and posting the info on our website.
  4. Very cute Melissa!! I feel so bad, I think I'm the only woman who didn't cry when their FI proposed! Oh well...

Mikki, why don't you do a boarding pass and have the beach scene in the background. I was initially going to do this so I attached a draft I was working on. Hope it helps!
  6. I'm with you Glenda!! I've been so quiet on the forum lately because I don't have time to read through the posts. I can't really check the site while I'm at work and by the time I get home, each thread is swamped with replies and I don't have time to read through them. But I'm still here willing to help Quote: Originally Posted by Nrvsbride Okay first of all to the all the newbies out there: Welcome! Secondly to all the members who aren't new: I am having so much trouble keeping up with all the newbies. It seems like everytime I sign on there are like 15 new newbies. I remember how scared and nervous I was when I first signed up and it made me feel so much better when people welcomed me. I want to do the same for everyone but I'm finding it so hard to keep up with all the newbies, where they are getting married, and what their names are. I want to try and help everyone as much as possible but I can't keep up!! How does everyone else handle all this? I know some of you like Christine, Tammy M, Ann, etc. you guys are so good at welcoming every single newbie. I try but can hardly keep up. -Glenda
  7. I know what you mean! I was so close to hiring her, but in the end I have such a large guest list that I could not afford her Oh well, I can use her pics as insperation!
  8. I wonder if this link will work, but I came accross more pictures of weddings from the dazzling details. She has great ideas! Yahoo! Photos - thedazzlingdetails's Photos

  11. I love those invites Anny!!! I'm sure you can make your own version of it.. I remember Aylee had a link to a knottie who made her own patterned paper/invites.. Here it is!!
  12. Hi!! Here is a link to more Dreams PV info http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2098-2 I posted attachments that Marilu has sent me so far. Looks like Tammy already posted some answers to your questions.. you do need to pay extra for music. However, Marilu has said that I will be able to bring in my own vendors so I recommend finding musicians on your own to get a better deal. Here are some links for info on PV musicians. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2104 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2443 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1972 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1672 The Trio is a three person group... you can picture it like a mini Mariachi with guitars only.. their music isn't as powerful as a mariachi. Hope this helps!
  13. I love that I can eat pasta, pizza, mac&cheese AND that they put the WW points on the side to make my life easier!
  14. Has anyone decided on a cake yet? Marilu let me know that no outside food is permitted by Dreams. She sent me a sample of a cake from the hotel, which i honestly hate! I don't like it at all! Has anyone discussed this with Marilu? Thanks!
  15. I with you Anny!! I go to the market and buy all my non/low-fat junk food! Hey, it calms the cravings! I know I should eat healthy, but I don't crave that food often, plus it gets expensive buying natural food and it spoils fast when your the only one eating it. I stock up on "lean cusines" and eat them all week for lunch, knowing that they high on sodium. Oh well!
  16. I vote #2 as well. # 1 is very cute, but IMHO, I think its too casual for your wedding (esp. for the bride). But, it's your wedding and only you know your style...
