  1. i walked into David's Bridal and bought a dress off of their $99 rack - it's perfect for the TTD, and there were quite a few options! I thought about using mine - but I spend too much $$ on it, and it's really delicate lace - the outside part anyway.
  2. i vote khaki - it just seems more "beachy" to me
  3. i think i just went to usps.com and did custom stamps - i do remember them being a bit expensive, but can't remember hte exact cost
  4. TAMMY! My DW Sister ... I am soo, so, so incredibly excited for you - I wish I could be at your wedding myself! You and Cain are two amazing people, you deserve eachother, and I can't wait to see pictures of your wedding day! Take the time to enjoy the day, and eachother ... take it all in! I'mm miss chatting with you for a couple weeks! And then hurry back and tell us all about it ... !!
  5. I loved the idea of the passport invite (or STD) as well - but I just did a standard DIY invite (none on the list above).
  6. welcome! these ladies all have good advice and tips for you. plan the wedding that YOU want!

welcome to the forum! let us know how we can help!
  8. welcome to the forum! i love the idea of a boutique hotel as well - i can't wait to hear more about your plans!
  9. ooohhh - i vote against the tux! not only would i hate to be wearing a tux if i were a guy, but personally i don't like the look, especially for a beach wedding.

  11. those are cute - i found it hard to find a cute wedge - so good job!
  12. they look great! i sent mine out like 8 weeks before - but i had sent out STDs like 6 mos before.
  13. For those of you that had a guestbook - did you have a sign, or a saying displayed on the table? We're thinking of having photo mattes (mats? whatever!) for people to sign and write on. if you did have something (or plan on it) - what did it say? i picture a smallish frame just sitting by the photo matte with text, or something - just don't know what would be in it or what to say!

Maybe we're not talking about the same kind of pictures- Ann & I definitely didn't have our clothes on! lol Quote: Originally Posted by Just Martha Ahh....see, maybe that's why I would use a male. 15. lol - i do agree. but i'm not going to lock myself up at home! but that's different from walking into a room alone with a male and taking off my clothes.
  16. i haven't heard from her today - so she might be out. you have to put down $1000

  18. on another note, i can't say i disagree with you Jonathan - many male photographers are totally professional and would do a great job w/b-pics. logically, we all know that it's a professional setting, etc. but it's just human nature for a woman to be hesitant to be semi-nude in front of a male that she doesn't know well. i just don't think any amount of logic will get past that.
  19. oh, and i don't think paul would care about the male doctor (i assume we're talking gyno) - but i'd feel uncomfortable!
  20. i don't think paul would have a problem with the photographer being a male. but then again, it isn't a topic we've dicussed! i am curious now, and will ask him after i give him these pictures. but i didn't really consider anyone else since Leigh is doing my wedding, and it just worked out. but i think i'd consider a male, especially if i had someone else with me (like the group we had) or if i knew and trusted this person.
  21. i know i've been guilty of saying "island" - but it's not. it's a "secluded beach cove area" - think those were Nicole's words when i asked her this exact question. actually, let me see if i can find that email ...
  22. i voted for the first one - but i think both are great. i'm so indecisive! i just think the first one, like others have said, goes with the "specialness" of your dress (and yes, to all of you teachers out there, i realize that's not a word) and as a side note, i feel like there should be sirens going off ... JACKIE SIGHTING!!!!! JACKIE SIGHTING!!!!! JACKIE SIGHTING!!!!!
  23. funny -i just had a conversation with Paul about this, and the forum. i was trying to explain how it was like my friends were getting married, and how i wish you could all be there. i've never been a part of a forum, let alone an active member, but now i get it! i was telling Paul how nice everyone was, and about the girls i now consider "friends" and i feel like i know a lot of people here. and i told him - remember when we first started, i was so overwhelmed with how to choose a location, and how to even plan a DW. so when we were talking about this over dinner, he said - you know, you have to turn around and be as nice to them when we get back, and tell them about our wedding (i had told him about all of the new Las Caletas brides). i was like ... "they wouldn't let me get away without doing exactly that!"
  24. i REFUSE to bring my laptop! only because i am on it all day for work (despite my # of posts!) i will totally be back on here to tell everyone all about it! if you could all stop posting for a couple weeks while i am gone, i'd appreciate it. that way i cna just jump back in w/o catching up! well, Leigh can post my pictures ... but that's it! heehee
  25. i dread the thought of how many unread posts i will come back to.
