I just wanted to clarify this too so there isn't any confusion... because of how busy I am I'm only doing wedding day stationery (programs, menus, favor tags, welcome booklets, thank yous, seating cards, table numbers, etc) for brides that have gotten their invitations through me. I still accept invitation and save the date orders any time.
  2. No worries... I know it's super stressful when you're trying to plan things and it takes forever to hear back from me! Unfortunately (or fortunately, I guess, depending on who you ask! lol) I'm SUPER busy. I usually have anywhere from 40-60 invitation clients at a time and I'm fielding about 100+ emails a day. I do have a couple employees so typically I handle email & design and they do assembly/shipping. However, when we have some big rush projects I have to take a break from email and design to get things done. I have a calendar where I keep everyone's deadlines and haven't missed a wedding yet Sometimes it just comes down to prioritization, which is difficult when you're the one waiting on me, but you'll appreciate it when it's time for me to get your project done!
  3. I just sent you an email Genevieve...I haven't answered very many emails in the last couple days because I had a few HUGE rush jobs to get out. I have to prioritize my jobs and since your wedding isn't until August, I have to get projects done for people whose weddings are in June/July first. The last email conversation we had you said you were going to send me names for your seating cards last weekend so I was waiting on those. Sorry for the confusion

I don't mean to be anal- but when you email someone you are paying to do something for you- you expect a response? I'm more than a little disappointed, especially after finding her services through this forum and hearing so many good reviews. I've responded to you here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...ml#post1292992 and here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...-vendor-59021/ I guess I'm at a loss for what else to say! I think my previous responses are sufficient

She does not provide any phone contact or address information on her website (only email). She originally was very responsive and helpful until she got our money. Now I'm left to believe she took us for $40?? Anyone else have this happen? Is she legit? At this point it isn't about the $40.00 it's about getting my invitations done!! Thanks for the help. Wow... I'm finding these posts everywhere! I responded in your original thread here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...-vendor-59021/ I've responded to you both via email and in your thread here. I sent your draft on Friday and the only email I haven't responded to is the one you sent yesterday. I'm sorry if you feel that a day of delay in response is so unprofessional that you would question if I'm legit.
  6. OK, I figured out who you are by going to your profile here Wow... I admit I was a little shocked that someone would have such a hard time reaching me - so I did some research. I have an email from you on April 26th, which was when you sent me your deposit/questionnaire info, and an email from you last Friday the 7th, which I replied to (it's in my sent folder in my email). I'm just now getting around to responding to emails today and I see a message from you that was sent yesterday. Yes, I am a day late on that one! Clearly there's been a breakdown in communication, and I completely understand your frustration and have refunded your deposit, despite the work I've done on your invitations. I wish you the best in your plans!...
  7. Well...in response to your question as to what happened to me: Does all of the above work? My email account got hacked and I was locked out of it for a day (this has happened twice); I had a printer fail which shut down production for 3 days AND I've had an ill family member. It would be laughable if it wasn't so crappy! Anyway, sorry for the lack of communication. I'm literally fielding about 200 emails a day right now and I don't always get back to everyone immediately if I'm working on your project. If all I do is anwer emails I don't get anything else done. It's also possible that during my crazy email-hacking issues that I didn't get your email, or that mine was blocked because that has been happening a TON this week. I don't have your BDW username in my files to figure out who you are, but email me with BDW in the subject and I'll either refund your deposit or figure out what I can do to make things right Sorry about the communication issues, it's definitely not my typical style
  8. Invitations can be really overwhelming. There are a ton of resources on this forum though! Spend some time looking through people's invitations on this section of the forum. Lots of people have put pictures of their entire invitation suites - their inserts, their info, etc... there are lots of helpful templates and tutorials that you'll be able to download once you have enough posts/points, but in the meantime you'll be able to see some pictures at least. Etsy.com is another great site - search for destination wedding invitations and you'll see lots of ideas. The great thing is that there's always something for every budget so decide on that, then find the person that can create what you love. Good luck and happy planning!

Hmmm, which option to do Also, did you enjoy the food? My FI and I ate there only once and weren't completely satisfied but that could have been just the plate we got. We did - we just didn't want to take the chance that it wouldn't be private enough, and for me, the peace of mind was worth the $400 I paid. Not everyone will feel that way, but I was happy in the end - with the setup, the atmosphere, the service and the food. Everyone enjoyed their entrees.
  10. Even though we only had 15 people, we still opted for a private setup. I wanted it to feel more special for my guests that had travelled all that way. We did a private setup on the patio at Portofino, by the little river. We had 3 servers for our little group and the service was even better than normal. We had a set menu with three entree options, and all the other normal courses. The food was fabulous and the atmosphere was perfect.
  11. Awesome job Michelle! Not many people can do a book that good on their first try So glad it turned out for you... fabulous pictures!
  12. I can only see your first couple pictures, but what I can see looks awesome - what a great idea!
  13. Great review - ahhhh, I loved Dreams. They are fabulous! You looked amazing and your details were wonderful. Congratulations!
