  1. Congrats I was married about a month ago in Cabo. It was great fun. good luck!
  2. Usually it's the first dance - bride & groom and then the parents dances. We did our first dance right as we were introduced. It worked out great and really got our party started. (we danced to Into the mystic: the music started, they announced us, we walked in and started dancing.) my DH really liked it because it cut down on some of the dancing time. We did a combo mother/son + father/daughter dance later on in the night before we cut the cake
  3. Jessica Claire is probably my favorite DW photographer. If only I could have afforded her... No, really I love my photos, but if she is in your price range she is amazingly talented. Anyhow she is shooting a wedding at the Westin this weekend and has already posted some of the RD pics from Casa Del Mar. check 'em out Jessica Claire Photography Blog
  4. We did a small vase with limes & a larger (taller vase) with submerged roses. fits with your color scheme. They weren't terribly cheap - I think that they ended up being around $55 per CP but by the time I made the decision to go with them I just didn't care anymore. If you want to see close-ups, you can check out my proofs. There are some photos toward the end of the pre-ceremony pics (in the last 100 or so of that set) sorry, I meant to mention that your reception location is totally stunning. I am in China right now and my internet connection is super slow so it took forever to edit. anyhow good luck!
  5. I am not familiar with them, but we used The Twins for our wedding and they were awesome. I would definitely reccomend them
  6. I am so un-sentimental. I threw mine away the next day.

By 4 we headed back to the hotel to do some family shots. I was back in my room by 4:30ish for a 5 or 5:15 ceremony. we had our photogs for 7-8 hours for the wedding day.
  8. What's your budget? Prime at the Bellagio is pretty fab
  9. thanks it was a great time. SO glad it's over though!

He drops of car at airport for you and you return it to airport? Is he from So. Cal.? I have his email and cell # and cell is a 949 number....(a very nice person on forum of Travel Advisor gave it to me) What did you and hubby think of him and his cars.... Please respond...When Erik and I go to Cabo this July I most likely will use him if he is that realible. drea p.s Sorry if this sounds so confusing. Chris made all of the arrangements with him so I am not sure of the details but basically it worked like this. We got off our flight, collected our 38912374829 bags and he was waiting for us outside of the terminal. We gave him cash, he gave us keys to the car, and his business cards and said that if we got into any trouble at all first that "he would kill us" and secondly to call the number on the card. At the end of the trip we filled his tank back up and left the car at the airport with the keys under the mat (locked in the car) it was that easy. We got into town on Tues. On thurs, my sister decided to get a car from him. He dropped it off at the hotel. Thursday night she lost her keys at the beach party (duh!) and one of his guys dropped it off at the hotel again on Friday for her. he is really a character, and a very nice guy. He is originally from Newport Beach.
  11. We had a welcome dinner at Tabasco's as well as a rehearsal dinner on a boat. IMO it was too much planned in a short period of time. That said, both were a blast and provided a great chance for everyone to meet & greet. Out of the two, I thought that the boat was more fun.
  12. good luck with sorting it out. If you can't change the time I would recommend doing your photos before. We did, and it was one of the best decisions that we made!
  13. pick the ones that are the most comfy. I had those adorable hollywould shoes that never made it to my foot. I also had a cute pair of gold leather J Crew flip flops that I wore for about ten minutes. I spent the rest of my day barefoot!
  14. I think it is gorgeous. My only comments are: maybe eliminate the clusters with the shells & orchids, or space things out more. It looks almost cluttered with the large starfish, clusters, hurricane and the flowers on top of the runner
  15. cute dress. So did you decide not to do the jcrew dress? that was you, right? Again you have loads of time. Why not just start collecting ideas. you will probably change your mind 10,000 times between now and your wedding day. No sense in driving yourself (and everyone else) crazy! the OC board on the knot has tons of great floral inspiration
  16. cymbidiums are green. they are pricey in Cabo but very pretty. Check out this knottie (from OC's) bio Bio and I think that you can do whatever you want for your flowers. there are no rules. My bms were supposed to have different flowers, but Rosy called me on my wedding day to let me know that the flowers for their bouquets were not great so they swapped them for Callas - which was great for me. the important thing is to get flowers that you love. eta - here is another good one from an OC bride. I love the oranges, creams and greens Untitled
  17. um... my dress, I guess. on ebay I reaaaalllly took my time making my purchases. I didn't want to jump the gun on anything and I am glad. I didn't end up with any unnecessary crap other than all of the unnecessary crap that I have right now
  18. Okay here is my take. your bm dresses are a bright pink/coral color right? why not do roses with some cymbidium orchids? green goes really nicely with those colors. for your bouquet I would do something more dramatic. All roses, roses and orchids, or perhaps all white callas (which I am obviously partial to) I like gerber(a) dasies, but to me they seem a little more informal. Definitely cheery and fun, but if you are going for "beautiful flowers" I may go with something with more drama. I didn't spend a ton on my flowers (granted, I didn't use a lot of color either) but felt like what I did have really made an impact. My florist was really reasonable. I can give you more info on what I paid if you are interested but I know that, for instance, my all white calla bouquet was only $65 - originally quoted as $300 from Elena Damy
  19. I seriously considered it. About a month out from my wedding I started to doubt my gown and almost bought a simpler gown for the reception. I'm glad i didn't. I got tons of compliments on it, and it was really comfortable. I had shoes that I never bothered to put on so I am sure that I wouldn't have fared much better with another dress too busy partying!
  20. what color(s) are your bms wearing? what kind of a "look" do you want for your bouquet? what is your budget (your flowers, attendant's flowers)
  21. this bump reminds me - if anyone would like to see my full set of proofs they are here Jim Kennedy Photography scroll down to March 24 in cabo username: kennedy password: natasha there is an insane number of photos, but I guess it gives other brides a good idea of what our location was like
  22. I highly recommend doing some sort of pre-marital counseling. Even if you think that you don't need it/everything is fine. It was extremely helpful.
  23. I bought gifts for the hostesses of my showers. I just did $50 gcs to stores that they liked. They did not expect them, but I felt like it was the least I could do considering their generosity
