Nov 08 brides

I have no idea when my bridal shower would be either.. I think possibly the girls at work MIGHT throw me one.. then my MOH was talking about having one for me too.

Well, I think my sister is planning a friend shower at the bachelorette party. For my 2nd bachelorette party Sept 19th weekend, we are renting a house on the lake in Traverse City for the weekend...so should be fun and Sat. morning they are throwing a shower and the theme is Wine Me, Dine Me, 69 me! Ha..so like they will get me a bottle of wine, or a restaurant gift cert/kitchen items, or lingerie..so kinda fun. Then they are throwing me a family shower in the month of Oct. but no details yet.

The neighborhood ladies are throwing me a bachelorette party this weekend. Just partying in my next door neighbors backyard. So should be fun. It's supposed to be nice out so pretty excited to start the partying already!

I am getting pretty close to needing a table. I am waiting for the closet doors to bust open any moment!

I'm trying to get as much stuff done as I can over the weekends. I don't want to have t do anything when I get to Mexico! My aunt and cousin did a really great job picking out the invitations. I'm a total flip flop girl and for a DW it was perfect.

My shower is September 7. My MOH and BM want to throw me a bachelorette party or do something, but I'm not sure I want them to do that. They are both strapped for cash so coming to the wedding is enough. I would rather just hang out with them in Mexico since I barely get to see either of them since we all live far away from each other. My MOH also works weekends as a nurse so her schedule and mine do not mesh!

Danielle have there been any hints as to when the shower will be? Have you been invited to any dinners or other events that could possibly be a fake out to get you to come and then it will end up being your shower? Maybe just have a cute outfit stashed in your car for an inpromptu change!

You will have to post pics of your cake topper when you get it. I'm still debating if I want to get one.

Well....speaking of surprises, FI told me last night that he upgraded our room to a JR suite which means, we will get upgraded to a suite when we get there!! Woo-hoo! I am so excited about having a big ass room for 10 wonderful days!! YAY!!

 

FI and son's shirts came in yesterday. They are nice. Now, I am thinking I need to get my son some linen pants. His shirt is kind of long and I think it will look weird with linen shorts. I didn't try it on him, but just from looking at it. Maybe I'll have him try it on tonight. Girls - I am SO BUMMED...two weeks ago FI took our camera with him camping. His cousin had it with him for a week and returned it to us on Friday and the camera is totally dead. I don't know what is wrong. I have SO many pictures to take!!

Celina, sounds like linen pants may be the best bet if the shirt is a little long. Glad you like the shirts. That blows about your camera, what a bummer!! Yes my bach party is Aug 9. We are going our for Mexican food then to the Baton Club, a transvestite review show!! Will be a blast!! Cant wait!!

I've heard the Baton Club is a lot of fun! I'm sure you will have a great time-be sure to post pics!

No hints what so ever. No one has asked me to do anything in Sept or October. Well there are two things but one is my nephew's first birthday which is on his birthday and it's on the same day as derek's 10 yr reunion so i know that can't be my shower. And we are going to the phillies game labor day weekend but that was planned 4 months ago and i had to pay for the tickets. Besides that nothing. But i don't make a lot of plans in advanced anyway.

I ordered a monogram cake topper, the letter K. I'm having it partially covered with crystals in Aqua and Turqoise. Since it has to be made i probably wont get it for a few weeks. i'll let you guys know how it turns out and post a picutre.

I think I might do a spa treatment bachlorette party.

My Mom got the tiaras for my daughter and I today. Oh yah, my necklace and earrings are came too. I will have to go over and take pics later!

Celina you just reminded me that when i started this thread and i was 6 months out, i was totally freaking out. And now is the time i should really be stressing, i have so much to do still. But i'm not really stressing. I'm more excited to be getting closer. I'm starting to gather info for my welcome packets, there more a What You Need to Know Before You Go packet since i'm handing them out ahead of time.
