Thank you for that I am trying to get booked in the Coba so I can have the choice of both locations as really like things about both!!

For those of you who married at the hammocks did you hear your music loud enough? :)

I finally heard back from Jazmin!! She even sent me a preliminary copy of the program/guest info for the day of the wedding! She said she usually gives that to the bride and groom at their meeting but she could tell I was nervous so she decided to send it to me. She also let me know that with the symbolic ceremony the minister is very flexible and allows the Bride and Groom to bring their own vows, they let you have special readings/readers and even songs(if you should want someone to sing). here is the order of events for the symbolic ceremony:

-seating of guests

-processionals

-arrival of the bride

-giving of the bride

-opening blessing

-reading

-sermon

-exchange of vows & giving of rings

-signing of the certificate

-pronouncement

-the recessional

If you want to wear shoes, I would highly recommend you do a wedge. That will be much safer to walk in than a regular heel.

Swankster, so glad you finally heard from her! And I can't believe how close you are to your wedding! That's nuts!!

You have to be there for 4 days (to satisfy legal requirements and get blood tests etc) prior to your wedding. I don't know if they do weddings on weekends but I'd think it would be a Saturday or Monday most likely?

Ours was a symbolic ceremony so we only had to be there 2 days prior but we decided to make ours 5 days in so we had it as last as possible in the week so we could spend it all with our friends/family. :)

We had music on a CD that we provided and it could be heard perfectly!

Herefishie,

I read your review it was awesome!!! Loved the pics you posted as well, I took a sneak peak on facebook. You looked gorgeous on your wedding day. Makes me more excited to start getting all my bookings done... still waiting on the travel agent. I am getting pretty frustrated now, I just want to be booked already and start the planning process. Anyways, thanks for sharing all your information ladies, makes me feel a bit more at ease with the whole process!!!

Hello Ladies,

Does anyone have any current rates and information about pool side receptions? Possible dinner menu's as well if choosing this option poolside etc. I am considering a pool side reception and am more or less curious about the costs and options available. Secondly, did anyone do this and what are your thoughts on the matter?

Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
