Hi Jodie,

I just instant messaged you! You are getting married the same day I am ... That is totally freaky!!!! I was told that they do not book more than one wedding a day. Little fibbers!!!!! Oh well we'll have to get together for a drink.

What do you think?
That is not selfish of you at all. My friend used to be a hairdresser (she currently cuts my hair) and was going to do my hair the day of the wedding. But we both decided against it. I was too nervous that I'd be a horrible customer and she was too nervous to wreck my hair the day of my wedding... so for the sake of friendship it just makes more sense to let the resort do it. The price sucks but in the end, I want the least to worry about that day.
I am having my makeup done too.

Would you feel more confortable if she did a trial run and you knew she could do it? Or you know she can do it and are just worried about her child?

Model in a bottle - I'm so going to look for that.

Got the FI's suit last night and get this....50% off!! Score. I hope the rest of my list goes that way. ha ha

I'm a little slow at work right now and I told my boss I don't know what I'm going to do after the wedding. One day she walked in and was like can you do me a favour? I said no I'm planning my wedding. She laughed so hard. It helps that my boss is one of my best friends.

Whew hooooo, don't tease me! I would love to. You just let me know when we can stalk each other :).

My hair dresser is coming to the wedding and offered to do my hair for the wedding, but she also said she would not "charge me that much to do my bridal party" what's up with that?! she could have offered her services for free as my wedding present :) wishful thinking, I know.

Okay... she seems really excited to do it but my BM's and mom's will get their hair done too so I think I will just tell her that we are all going to use the salon at my resort. She does want to do a trial run but I just don't want to put her under so much pressure since she will have her little daughter with her and I might be bridezilla. Ha-ha!

So, this is what I'll do, I'll have her do the trial run. If everything comes out okay, I will still book through the salon and if for some reason something happens and the salon can't do my hair then I have her for a back up. Is that fair or do you think I'll hurt her feelings?

It's all how you word it... just say something like- ''I was thinking... and as fun as it would be to have you do my hair... I think I am going to be so stressed out the day of the wedding that maybe I should just go to the salon... what if something happened? It would take a lot of pressure off of you, and that way you can just relax, but thank you so much for the offer...''
Ok that wasn't awesomely wrote but you get the idea... she'll either be happy she doesn't have to do it, or she'll press on with '' no no no, really I WANT to do it,'' in that case you're screwed, LOL jk. You have to do what you are comfortable with on your wedding day and she will understand. I don't see how she could be offended. My friend wasn't. She was relieved... she didn't want the pressure of ruining my hair. With the humidity and stuff down there, she was unsure of how my hair would react and wasn't comfortable doing it in the end.

Plus you also have the excuse of wanting to be at the salon with everyone else! Don't be afraid... do what you want to do!! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
