Pash Problems ... WE'RE REORDERING PASH'S - anyone else interested?

Recommended Posts

Ok so I went to go pick up pash's on sat and the lady I go to wasn't there. So I noticed that the little shop was closed so I asked the guy next door what was going on and he said "5-0 came and took her away." (People call cops 5-0 here) Anyways, I was pretty upset b/c she knows me and is able to get pretty much any color and quantity I need in a hurry. So I don't know if she got arrested or what.

So I decide to walk up and down chinatown b/c a lot of shops have them. Some people were demanding $8 a piece! Are they f'n crazy? $8? Well I kept walking and the cheapest I could get was 3 for $10 but they didn't have a lot of inventory.

I was going to go back on wednesday but then I realized that it would not be enough time to get them to Christine in time for her wedding so I went back yesterday. It was still closed.

I don't know what to do. My dad told me to just wait awhile b/c they always arrest these people and then let them go once everything dies down. But Christine and Drea's wedding are coming up and I don't know what to do.

~Lizzy were you able to find out where you got the pashs in NYC for $2?

I agree with your dad Glenda---- wait and see if it blows over after awhile. I hate the idea that you made special trips down there to check and see if the lady was back---- we love you to death for going to such lengths for all of us, but what you offered to do is a gift to us, not an expectation!

If they pop up again sometime down the road, then great. But if they don't, it's not going to wreck our wedding plans or hinder any of us in the least.

We just appreciate the effort you've made in trying to help us all.

I am not involved in this at all but just wanted to chime in that it is very sweet of you to do all this work then worry that you can't get it done because someone was arrested. I guess you’re probably trying to figure out how to raise bail to get her out! You are a sweet person for helping all these girls out!

Glenda - DON'T WORRY!!!!

The fact that you even offer to do this is amazing. Top that with the multiple trips, the hunting down incaarcerated vendors - you are too much!!!

Please stop worring about this. If she comes back, she comes back. No need to freak!

Glenda Glenda, you are soo sweet. I say wait a little while, if she comes back great, if not, I am sure someone will work at the store, you can tell them the deal the other lady gave you and go from there. If not, 3 fo $10 is not a bad deal at all, its $3.33 each, that is pretty good. So, if in a little while she is not back, let us know what you want to do. I would go for the 3 for 10 deal, not sure about others, but it still sounds good to me.

Thanks guys I hate disappointing people, especially my BDW friends. The thing is I'm actually a little scared b/c I know they have been cracking down lately. Actually to be honest I feel bad b/c a lot of times when they do arrest people it turns out that the money for the counterfeits was being used to fund terrorism. I would hate to think that a simple gift for guests at a wedding is funding terrorism. My FI thinks I'm reading too much into it, which I probably am but still. I don't know, I'm just upset.

You are reading waaaay to much into it. Seriously, do not worry. Even if that was the case, no one knew that, and it happens, so no one would be upset about it, its not like anyone knew. You worry too much.

Awwww Glenda! You are so nice to run out and get these for people. That really sucks!

I came across a link a couple of days ago and had forgotten about it until I saw your thread ... but it may help... I have not bought from them yet.

You need to buy $100 worth and the 'pashimas' are $3.50:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
