Thanks ladies~ I'm planning on doing something a little different towards the end of the ceremony. Strange question but are there any shells on the beach?

Honestly, I don't remember seeing many shells around. The ground staff sweep/rake the beach daily, so a lot disappears when they do that.

Hmmm. No, not that I recall. Maybe in the water or a few that had washed up here and there, but nothing I recall specifically. Also, Gazebo 55 is raised from the water, so I don't believe any shells would just wash up in that area. I wasn't paying a ton of attention to that though, so perhaps ask your WC?

Hey Ladies!  I am getting ready to book my hair/makeup.  I'm debating on whether or not to have it done in the spa or having it done back in my room where it's more relaxing and I can actually have food, etc.  Please let me know what you have done and what works best in this situation.  My main thing is I don't wanna be rushed and I want it as chill as possible and just a fun time.  It's only me and my MOH that will be needing the services.  Thanks for any help and advice!

I got my hair and makeup done at the spa. It was me, my MOH and one of my bridesmaids. They were actually really great, my MOH started her hair earlier (while I was getting my nails done) so she got hers done at the main salon but they actually let my other bridesmaid get hers done with me in the bridal suite so that we could talk. Then when my MOH was done with her hair she joined us in the suite and we all talked and drank champagne. I did the water ritual beforehand (I highly recommend this is you are as anxious as I am!) so my hair was still wet, and they dried it for me at no additional charge, normally they charge some crazy amount to dry your hair. Overall, it was great- it does take forever so make sure you plan accordingly & I would highly recommend doing a rehearsal!

Guess I'll just buy a bag of shells. Since they don't let you do the sky lanterns anymore I found this shell ritual where people write a wish for the couple on two shells. One they throw in the water and say the wish and the other is given to the couple as a keepsake. Kind of like a wishing tree. I would much rather do the sky lanterns but it is what it is. I'll go grab a bag of shells! Thanks for the info ladies!

I believe there was or you might have to go into the water to find some because some of our guests did find some, but they do snorkel and scuba dive.

          Hey ladies,

I was trying to post photo's from my wedding but it keeps telling me my file sizes are too large. Any idea how to get around this?

you probably need to resize them down a bit, I don't think you can post larger than 10mb

I figured it out. I had to reduce the quality of the pics, so the color and clarity isn't nearly as good as the original photo, but at least you can see the sites... This is our ceremony at Gazebo 55
