Haha Jess you make me laugh! We're doing some pictures before and some afterwards in case we get a little short on daylight. My wedding is right at 5pm and I was worried about the same thing. I agree with the other comments about the 2-hour cocktail hour. If you have stuff to entertain your guests, and places for them to sit I think it's fine. But if they're just standing around they may get bored. You'll figure it out, you always do. :)

Hey girls! I've been MIA for a few weeks, trying to get everything in order. I notice a lot of talk about the spa. I had some questions too. I'm brining in an outside vendor for my hair/makeup. Do we just get ready in my room? Do they bring everything they need? It's Fernando for those of you who have had/are having him. Also, are any of you booking mani's/pedi's? I'm torn at what to do. My wedding isn't until the 10th but we leave the 6th. I don't think a mani/pedi would hold up that long. Are you ladies booking yours at the spa?

        Thanks in advance! :)

I either do the 30 day shred by Jillian Michaels or her online program. The program is about $4 per week and she provides meal plans and workout plans. All of her workouts can be done at home with weights and an exercise ball. The workouts consist of 5 circuits. I love it and it allows me to catch up on my DVR. The website is www.jillianmichaels.com

Does her programs work? I'm curious to try them out. I have done the P90X (not the whole program, I just do the workouts a few times a week) and it is great!!

The PX90, it is amazing. But you really need to be able to devote an hour a day to it. Both FI and I did it and I lost 30 lbs and he looks amazing. I started out with weight watchers and now I just do the things none of us want to do lol. Fruit, veggies, protein only one cup of carbs a day lol. I have to say though I feel great.

I am having the photographer come during the last hour of getting ready. Not exactly sure how far in the process I will be by the time he arrives. I agree I would do hair first and than make up.

Since it's triathlon season, I haven't really had to worry so much about the exercise portion, but to lose weight and tone up lifting weights is probably the most important thing you can do, in addition to watching your diet.  I find the high protein, fruits and veggies diet works the best.  It's hard, because I love sandwiches, but you will really see results.  All the lean protein (chicken, fish, turkey) you can eat, as well as all the fruits and veggies you can eat.  No bread, pasta, rice, or potatoes.  I do have a glass of wine here and there during the week (and a couple more on the weekends - lol), and I allow myself a "cheat meal" every 4 days or so.

Totally agree with this advice! But I tend to gain weight when I'm training for a triathlon or marathon! Right now I'm working on muscle building. I only eat 1 carb (oatmeal) 3 days a week, 2 carbs (add sweet potato) 2 days a week and eat 3 carbs (2 servings sweet potato) on days I lift legs. I have focused my training around weight training. I lift weights for an hour 4-5 times per week. I do cardio at night 4-5 times per week. It's a lot of work and I eat 5-6 times per day, with protein at every meal but I've never seen such good results. I thought all my tri/marathon training would get me in shape, but I can honestly say right now I'm 'ripped' and that's a good feeling. Diet is the #1 most important thing in any training program.

                Ladies-

not sure if someone else posted this, I didn't see it, but I just found out that Rebekah, my WC, is leaving Mexico.  She apparently just came down to get everything sorted out.  I found out by emailing her.  So my new WC is Ana Perez, who has been great so far.

So yes Fernando comes to the room. He actually will meet the WC at the wedding center and she will bring him up is what I was told.

I am actually going to do mani/pedi the day before I leave and I just scheduled a polish change for the day of. So much going on already I don't want to be running late if the mani pedis take to long. All my girls are doing the same thing :) You could always do the mani pedi the day before to? thats another optiion

Hi! I haven't called them yet, I was going to have my friend who speaks spanish call for me.....maybe she can get me a better deal

Hello Brides to Be!! Haven't been on the site in a few weeks.  I love the new look, but I miss seeing everybody's wedding date.  jamk32179 - I am thinking of getting my makeup done at MAC too since it's just around the corner.  Did they give you any pricing information that you can share?

I love them because I can do them at home. I work crazy hours living in Las Vegas and go to school full time for my MBA so finding time to work out isn't always easy. I don't really follow the meal plans, I try to implement my own quick and easy fixes. When you sign up there is a personal survey you complete that creates your meal plan, how many calories you should eat and the workouts. When I don't have time fix dinner I'll usually do a Lean Cuisine and a piece of fruit. I've lost about 10 lbs. and I haven't been too good on my eating. But the count down is on..... 42 days till I leave for paradise!!!
