I just bought my dress last weekend. It's a fairly traditional A-line style strapless dress. I had originally thought a suit coat would be nice for my FI to wear, but at the same time I don't want him to roast to death.....

I was wondering if anybody's getting married/or got married in the summer in Jamaica, and what their plans are for their FI and groomsmen?

I also think that a khaki color looks great, but what color do the bridesmaids wear?

Any input or suggestions would be very much appreciated, Thanks!!

My FI and his groomsmen are wearing white linen pants and a short-sleeved Hawaiian shirt. You could get linen shorts and shirts too, they would be relatively cool.

he should wear a speedo and a fan that hangs around his neck.

kidding. your fi could wear anything linen - maybe a short sleeve button down and linen pants...you could get him a linen suit and wear the jacket for pics, but i do agree that he'll roast if he wears it the whole time.
i also think that khaki matches most colors, maybe khaki pants and a white shirt...or all white for your fi to make him stand out. your bms can wear almost anything as well...give the guys a boutinierre in whatever color the bms wear to match the bridal party.

My FI is wearing a Khaki colored suit and the groomsmen are wearing ivory short sleeved Tommy Bahama shirts with matching Khaki pants. Hopefully they won't be to hot!!

we're getting married in july so i feel for you. fi is coming prepared with two outfits! he has a khaki suit and nice white linen shirt and a really great light orange tie (our color). that would be his ideal outfit. but if the weather is just unbearable he's going to lose the coat and tie. so i guess i'll be surprised!

We bought a khaki suit for Matt and all the same shirt (off white silk/blend) for the guys, but come wedding day (October in Cabo) he decided to ditch the suit jacket.. (93 degrees).. it was too hot.. everyone know he was the groom because he was the one kissing me! :)

I was married in June in Mexico - definitely warm! Here is what Paul wore (I also had a pretty formal dress, possible similar to yours). No way was I going to ask him to wear a jacket! lol

TOO FUNNY! I vote this one!! LOL
But really, everyone's ideas are good - go with what you this he will feel comfortable in. I am worried about my FI's suit. He may end up in the pants and shirt, but no jacket. We are doing St Thomas in May - and he is not one for the heat.....

I am getting married at ROR in August also and I got my GM's short sleeve shirts from Banana Republic that looked beachy (Modern Apparel, Handbags, Shoes, and Accessories | Banana Republic)
I know how hot it can get in jamaica during august so I wouldnt dream of putting Joe in a suit!
