YES! That's my advice - do it! lol No advice other than to just relax and enjoy the ride. I am so not a planner, and everything turned out better than I had hoped. Kelley and Nicole rock - so you don't need to worry!

Just start gathering pictures/descriptions of what you like (flowers, decor, cake, colors, etc.) and eventually hand them over to Nicole or Kelley, and they will take care of it.

I know you said you are waiting til you get there, but check out Fajita Republic Yari. They have a nice atmosphere and some really good fajitas. Actually Steve and I REALLY wished we would have had our WD there. It was like $15 for steak, shrimp and chicken fajitas. We paid WAY more than that for our WD and the people didn't really like the food. LOL Oh well....
This is where we're trying to get our Welcome Dinner. I'm planning on calling them this weekend! I hope it works out!

OH, and PS: 1 month from today!!

Hello LC Brides! It's been months (literally) since I've said hello -- a job change, being MOH in another wedding, a total computer crash, and many, many other things have contributed to that -- but I want to pop up and say hello! I've really not progressed as much as I wanted to on a lot of things for my own wedding which is now less than 4 months away (yikes!!!).

I'm in the process of putting together a big email to Kelley to try and get a lot of my stuff in order. I have arranged to have a welcome dinner at the Dreams Hotel, a rehearsal dinner at Vista Grill, and we currently have 64 guests attending the wedding just based on the STDs we sent out. I still am sending out "official" invitations in another few weeks.

That's all! Lots of things to read through and catch up on...and lots to do...hope everyone is well and that planning is going well too!

I know! I am very excited.

I am very anxious and excited. We are leaving on Monday.

Nicole has been awesome and very responsive. She has answered my gazillion emails I've sent to her the past week. I am so excited to be getting married at LC.

Just wanted to get some advise from some other brides. I want to get everything booked now! We are learning heavily towards an all-inclusive but I think we are still open to any suggestions. We think we will have about 40 people and the hotel has to allow children. Thanks so much for your help!!
Hi - like SarahL we are also having our guests stay at the Marriott. I must admit, they've been a PITA to work with so far but luckily Tammy's taking care of that (thanks Tammy!). However, I really think our guests are going to be pleased with our choice. The last 2 times we went we stayed at the Westin and we originally tried to book there but there was a huge convention already booked a YEAR OUT!!! sooo they couldn't really accommodate us. We were pretty bummed, as we really wanted to stay in the Marina area and do a Non-AI (most of our family and friends aren't big drinkers and would rather get out and explore instead of being tied down to the hotel). It's supposed to be undergoing a complete renovation (to be completed by the end of this year, I think?) and I can't wait to see it! We are taking a chance on this one - site unseen but that's kind of exciting to me. Plus there are so many great little restaurants within walking distance in the Marina area. And it's not too far from Downtown (we were also looking at the Barcelo but found it to be too far for us).

I'm sure Dreams would be GREAT too though!! Esp. if you're looking for an AI - I'd say go for it! :) And if you do, definitely try and book through Tammy(host) - she seems to have a lot of connections with that hotel brand.

Fajita Republic... hmmm... sounds interesting! I can't really think of anyone in our group who could complain about fajitas (esp. their choice of steak, chicken AND shrimp!). Where is it located? Gonna have to check this one out for sure!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
