I really want to have hot pink or pink (just not pale) chair sashes for the ceremony. I think it will add a pop of colour. I've already requested them and they are in my contract. Now that my wedding is getting closer, I'm second guessing my decision. Do you think they will take away from the natural beauty of Las Caletas. I'm not having a chuppa, just the included arch. I would not have the chair sashes for the dinner chairs.

Rachel - I believe Kelly said we should include our photographer and their assistant, if applicable. That might've just been for the boat ride. Not 100% sure. Sorry, I guess that doesn't help much. lol

Our wedding is two days after yours, Roxie... and I don't know about you but I am having a VERY hard time being productive at work! Mentally, I am already in PV!!! I can't wait.

We got lucky... we shipped a big box of stuff a few weeks ago but since we live in Mexico it only cost about $100... I can't imagine what it would have cost to ship internationally. I agree with the idea that you should ask a few guests to throw some stuff into their bags, if you can!

Take care and maybe we'll see you there, Roxie!

And I PROMISE... there will be details, details, details and GAZILLIONS of photos as soon as we get back!

THIS NEWBIE IS NO LONGER UNDECIDED

Hello! First, I'm still overwhelmed by the welcome I got to this forum! So once again, thank you!

Second, I heard back from Kelley at LC!!! My FI loved everything I showed him about the place so thankfully, Jamy, no thumb-breaking necessary! LOL! But I might have gone there if necessary... No, he immediately agreed that pictures conveyed how private and intimate the setting is, and I told him about all the positive things everyone here has to say about the WC...

I think I actually yelped out loud when I saw Kelley's email yesterday! That's when I realized I had gone from a maybe to a definitely, yes...this is where I want to get married! No doubt!

Of course, I'm now waiting to get my mother feedback. Poor thing, I think I just sent her four emails worth of information and about 25 different links....I know that it's my wedding and not hers, and no where in this process so far has she tried to tell me at all what to do (in fact, I think secretly she's disappointed with the entire DW thing altogether but will NEVER say it)...but her opinion matters to me, I want her to love it too...because it will be some much more fun planning this if she's as excited and pumped as I am...

Hey gals,

Thanks for all the positive comments on the review. Sarah, I am so excited for you to leave in a day... I wish I was going back and doing it all over again. Leigh Miller, our photographer, put together a slideshow with some of the pictures from the wedding. She did an amazing, amazing job at the wedding, she is just so talented. If you would like to see the slideshow, you can go to his link:

Let me know if you have any problems opening it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
