Hi everyone,

Is it just me, or does it seem like the only lightweight fabric out there these days is CHIFFON?  It seems like every picture of a wedding I'm seeing lately has the bridesmaids in different colours of long, flowy, chiffon dresses.  Any other elegant alternatives out there?  It's obviously beautiful, and great for the heat, but I don't want my wedding to look like everyone else who got married in 2014-2015.

Unfortunately that seems to be the only thing I've found that is relatively cool. If you think about it all the others are just too heavy and warm - the satins and taffeta. I've seen some brocade and it's really heavy. You want something that's going to breathe in the heat and will keep your wedding party comfortable.

All I've seen is chiffon. Tulle is another option but I haven't seen any like that. Also my dress has tulle so I want them to look different. You could get them made if the budget allows

I have seen a few dresses in a jersey fabric that are lightweight.  I like the two birds bridesmaid dress, and it's a jersey fabric. Dessy group has something similar.  Or if you just google "jersey bridesmaid dress", you'll see more options. I pulled up some on david's bridal and anne taylor

I think you have to look at places outside the box. I was a BM in a wedding and the bride purchased our dresses for $10 at a flea market place and they were different, lightweight and so comfy. We looked nice and it was what she envisioned. Just food for thought.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
