Kukua Beach Club Brides (2014,2015,2016)

Recommended Posts

Hey guys!  Sorry I am so late in responding, I was away this weekend!  You can check out my wedding trailer if you'd like, its http://youtu.be/_ZDn-Io2FRw  At around the 6:25 mark is where you can really see Kukua!  The beginning of the video as well, but that is when the party is really going =)

First off, I just want to let any future brides know that if you are thinking of booking here, do NOT think twice. My new husband and I, along with our 38 guests were treated with impeccable service and warmth - never have I had better quality anywhere else. Everything was simply AMAZING!!!!

Communication with Bego was very easy; everything is done through email, and she is very welcoming with pictures and ideas. Response time was perfect, and I did not have to wait longer than a few days for any of my answers. During the last couple weeks leading up to the wedding, response time was within hours.

My husband and I went for a tasting a couple of days before the wedding, and we were so, so impressed with Bego's organization and excitement regarding our day. She had a welcome drink waiting for us (champage sangria - amazing!!), and we sampled every item off our menu, which was octopus ceviche, natural fries, chicken ceaser salad with chicken croquettes, main course chicken & fish, and then creme brulee and cheesecake. Everything was amazing and we were so satisfied with the quailty of the delicious food and service! Bego even had our menucards and placecards all finished and decorated beautifully.

Wedding day - breathtaking. As I write this review, I am getting goosebumps. The whole reception was excellent and blew us all away. Decor was more beautiful than I could have imagined, from the floating candle in the pool, to the welcome table; everything was just magical. Food was delicious, and enjoyed by all. DJ and MC, as well as the dance floor area with a cover over the small pool was so worth it!!

I could go on forever about this amazing venue and restaurant...One thing that stood out the most was the attentiveness of the staff and servers. They are simply the best. Whenever a guest's drink was near empty, someone was there to replenish it with whatever they wanted, both at dinner and during the dance.

To all future brides - if you are lucky enough to have your wedding day available at Kukua Beach Club, book and don't think twice!!! Your day will be one that you will cherish forever.

This is my review from Trip Advisor =)

Hi Ladies!

We just booked Kukua for our July 11, 2015 wedding and couldn't be more excited. My fiance and I had the chance to go down to Punta Cana in April and see Kukua in person and meet with Bego. It is more beautiful that pictures can show and Bego is an absolute sweetheart. I'm so happy to get to work with her! We are SO excited.

I do have a question for any past/current brides--we are trying to decide if we should have the photographer/videographer come to the resort to capture us getting ready or if it makes more sense to hire someone for hair and makeup to come to Kukua. I know that I have seen some resorts charge a "vendor fee" for weddings (We will be staying at Majestic Elegance and it is $300.00 per vendor) but since we are just getting ready can we buy them a "day pass"? I hate to spend $600 to bring the videographer/photographer to the resort for an hour. If anyone has info on this we would GREATLY appreciate it!

Thanks so much! xo

I would ask your photographer! If you do have a local photographer, chances are you will have to pay the vendor fee, since a lot of the staff at the resorts know local photographers (especially Majestic being one of the most popular resorts for weddings)

From our experience, unfortunately two of our couples were required to pay the vendor fee even though they were not getting married at Majestic.

It's best if you check with the resort directly too!

I had to pay the vendor fee, although I did get married at the Majestic.  Just had the reception at the Kukua..kind of disappointing to spend that money, but they do have a close relationship with the video/photograpthers and definitely know who's who.  I'd probably suggest shopping around - you could always stage pictures as well at Kukua (just a thought).  Good luck!

Hello Ladies!

Can the ladies that got married at the Kukua already give me some info about tipping.  I have no idea how to go about this and what to tip.  Any kind of advice would be great.  Feel free to PM me :)  Thanks Ladies

    • What color is your wedding? You can go with warm autumn-inspired colors such as burnt oranges, dark reds, burgundy, bright yellows, like fall foliage   https://printsbery.com/invitations/wedding/burgundy   What planning have you guys done?
    • We booked our wedding for April 2021 but the venue let us know at this time they are still implementing Covid measures so we should not have more than 50 guests, etc. We also made sure the contract had an "out" clause that would let us get a refund should the pandemic blow up again, or have the ability to reschedule without penalty.
    • I am having my wedding scheduled in November 2020. I am too much worried about how all the things will be managed in this pandemic situation. About everything like the guest list, preparations, my attire and all. The only thing I am relaxed is about finances. In Feb only me and my fiancé applied for the wedding loans. We have applied early because both of us are having bad credit we had a doubt that it will be approved or not. But our wedding loans with bad credit were timely approved and we have planned accordingly but now this pandemic has spoiled all our preparations. We are trying to be positive and trying to celebrate our new beginnings.
