What Is Your Wedding Wow Factor Going To Be?

Recommended Posts

Hi gals, I am now debating doing a churro cart for our reception. For you who have booked it, do you know the costs? I would ask my wedding coordinator but I don't want to annoy her... It's too bad they don't have a nacho cart, now that would be amazing.

I didn't even think of doing anything to give the wedding more flare! I feel like I need to step up my game! Lol!

Didn't even think about it. I thought the destination part in itself was wow enough lol. But our cocktail hour includes live music if available so I'm hoping to have the steel drum band that will be cool I think :)

The Wow factor will be my dress (I am a plain jane and went all out) lol we will have a steel band playing during cocktail hour. Our music choices and Chinese flying lanterns.

I honestly considered having a sunset catamaran ride after the dinner/dance, but my fiance's mom is so deathly afraid of water he said she won't get on, so I scrapped that.

Not sure if I would do a catamaran thing at another time just given this, because it leaves her out.

I hadn't really thought about the 'wow factor' to be honest.  The wedding is going to be fairly special itself and we put alot of thought into all the bits and pieces and made alot of things unique over 'regular' weddings.

I am considering the mariachi though while we get our photos taken and they get cocktail hour.  When I told my coworker, who is Mexican, the prices they charge he almost fell over!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
