2014 Brides- What Decorations Are You Bringing

Recommended Posts

I'm getting married at Azul Fives and we decided to cave in and we're paying for each table to be decorated like this:

So we're bringing the centrepieces, the bridesmaid bouquets, photobooth stuff, the guestbook, and some other decorations like string lights and probably other arrangements for the altar/head table

For your beach wedding you can decor your gazebo or arch with strings of flowers and shells, storm lanterns ,pieces of fabric or hang rosebuds or little vases with flower indifferent lenghts from pieces of colored ribbons.

  • 2 months later...

I'm bringing table number frames, shells and mini pails as votive holders for the tables. Also the guestbook postcards, little treasure chest to hold them and a sign for it. Then a larger frame for my seating chart. Possibly a couple more frames for pics of us. Also a ring bearer shell and flower girl pail. Other than the shells. Nothing is breakable. Then maracas and OOT tumblers. Will need so much room lol.

The papel picado with names on them costs a lot of money, so we got some wedding papel from Amols and then got just the small flags for centerpieces with our names. I made the table numbers with the date and now I have to print out engagement pictures to put in them.

I made mine for our wedding but if I would have known how much time it was going to to take I would have gladly paid the extra $!

Amols was great too. Pretty cheap!

A few Etsy shops have great designs and aren't too expensive:

I am bringing cloth napkins (to give tables colour), we are ordering flowers as our centerpieces and then bought small coloured stones to go around the vase, not sure if I should add candles as well or not.

Also taking table numbers and their place holders (is this something resorts usually provide? I hadn't even asked)

Then guestbooks, some sort of frame/poster for the seating chart.

Still haven't decided if I should take any other decorations...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
