    Hi Ladies,

I was wondering if you guys bought or are planning on buying your bridesmaids dresses or contributing to the cost.

I'm paying... My AI costs are $2000 a person and my entire bridal party has kids who are also planning on attending, so that's an investment of over $5000 for each of them/families to attend. I could not think about adding to their cost by asking them to buy their dresses. I'm also buying them a few other items so that there is no costs incurred outside their costs to attend.

Still trying to decide if this can be included into our budget.

I won't be paying for my girls' dresses. In all the bridal parties I've been in, I've paid for my own dress. I will definitely be on the look out for affordable dresses for them though!

I bought all 5 of my bridesmaids their dresses but I also found them online for an awesome price.  Donna Morgan had a sale going on and each dress was $50 from the original price of $250 so I bought all 5 dresses for the price of one.  My bridesmaids really appreciated the gesture, they are covering the alterations though. Look on Donna Morgan's website under the sale section they always have bridesmaids dresses on sale.

I bought my bridesmaid dresses as well. Couldn't imagine asking them to shell out more after already asking them to pay for the trip.

I've had to pay for my own dress 2 times and had it bought for me 2 times. It was something we made sure to budget for, and I bought dresses on sale and wasn't crazy particular about style (got j crew chiffon dresses for around $80 each)
