I'm not doing a dj because I'm only having 10-15 guests and they're not a huge dance crowd. At least for now. I'm also trying to cut costs where I can... I'm hoping to do a beach bonfire at the end of the night. That's more my scene then dancing anyway... and we can go to the disco after if we want!

As for photographer, I'm waiting on confirmation but I am hoping to bring someone from around here with me. It is a friend of a friend and I think it'll end up costing about the same as having a Jamaica based Photographer shoot for 5 hours... but I will get a lot more out of it!!

How about you? And seriously, I always feel SO far behind when I come on here. I'm freaking out about budget/money a bit but that isn't out of the ordinary for me either... :)

Our wedding is going to be on the smaller side as well. We will be lucky if we get 15 haha I wish more people could come, but our families aren't big at all. Small things add up so fast, oh my goodnes! Makeup, hair, flowers, sound, decorations, small details. I also am feeling stressed out staying within budget because all of these things adding up are getting crazy expensive...and then I forget we still have to pay our trip there off and I get even more stressed hahaha everything will be perfect though. I feel like I am a lot less stressed with doing it this way than if we had a local wedding...I kind of feel like nothing can ruin just being on vacation lol I agree with the bonfire on the beach...that is so our style too! I'm hoping we can get the photographer that we had planned on to come down with us, because like you said it's basically the same exact price but you get more if the photographer is with you a lot. That is what's making me the most nervous! Pictures are what's more important to me than anything. I need a money tree is what it comes down to

Just wanted to let you all know that living social is having pay 10 dollars to get 50 dollars worth for vista print...that's a pretty good deal I think. If any of you needed T-shirts, cards, coozies, or anything for your oot bags or whatever :)

Hi all,

I'm getting married January 19, 2014 at Moon Palace.  I love the palace resorts and have been going with my family for the past 10 years or so.  I'm debating switching to one of the adult's only spa ones like Isla Mujeres, or Le Blanc for honeymoon (those are still part of Palace resorts)- are you ladies sticking around the area for honeymoon?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
