  3. thanks for the info vanessa. (for some reason the mention function wont work for me!) i am getting married on the beach terrace, and my cocktail hour is there as well. but - our reception will be in a ballroom. i have seen some pics of lanters hung inside ballrooms at different heights and it looks amazing. hopefully i can get the same effect!
  4. question for all of the brides who have been to the resort already... does the resort allow men to wear jeans to the a la cartes or do they have to wear dress pants? the dress code doesnt specify, it just says long pants so we are wondering if jeans are ok.
  5. I got 40 lanterns of varying sizes and colors for less than 100 in total. I have read in previous reviews that the resort charges 100 to hang them. 200 in total is far better than the 1000 the resort charges to rent them! I might also offer them to keep the lanterns after if they don't charge me to hang them.... i don't need them after anyway!

  7. hi ladies, just wondering if anyone can share advice on any do's and dont's you learned from your TTD with regard to your underwear/bras. im really struggling to know what to wear under. did you wear regular underwear and a bra under your dress, or a bikini, etc?
  8. megan and mrs.blaze- we will be there at the same time, i am getting married on Jan 24th and will be at the resort from Jan 18 - Feb 1! getting closer now... cant wait! I do have a couple of questions that have gone unanswered by the resort... -does anyone know if you are allowed to let someone else (mother or bridesmaid) use the hair and makeup service in the divine package if the bride doesnt want it? -are we allowed to give the private transfer to a guest? i think id prefer to go with everyone on the bus, but i do have one guest and her BF coming from england id love to give it to them if i can.
  9. Hey ladies! I just learned that the Now Resorts app is now fully operational at Now Sapphire! this is exciting, as it wasn't supposed to be launched until 2014. I downloaded the app, it looks really good. using the resorts WiFi, you can place free calls to the US and Canada through the app. you can sign in and add 'friends' and do messaging with them - perfect way to stay in touch with our big groups while down there. you can look at the days activities schedule, restaurant schedule and view the restaurant menus, look at weather, things to do off the resort such as tours, etc. there is also a section called 'my stay' which you can access until you get there (as you need to put in your room number) so I'm not sure what exactly that does. there is also some info in the 'guide' section that would be very useful for our guests who have never been to Mexico, because it has info about the area, money, legal info, transportation, safety, weather, and useful Spanish phrases. for more info on the app, look at the now sapphire website under the 'What's Included' tab, then click unlimited connectivity. http://www.nowresorts.com/sapphire/unlimited-connectivity.html just make sure when you go, you turn off your roaming and are using their wifi... otherwise your phone bill might give you a shock!!

Brittany Hi Brittany, I was just discussing this with Anel last week via email and she said: Regarding an outside Videographer, we have the same policy as the photographer (day pass + meals) I assume this is per person... so if your photographer or videographer have an assistant or second shooter, I'm guessing the cost is day pass + meal for each. I found that the videographer packages are quite expensive at the resort. I plan to book with Gallardo Films... as soon as I can convince my fiancée that we need to have videography!! hope this helps!

  18. hi gals, I have a bunch of questions I'm hoping some of you can help me with: -Does anyone happen to have copies or pics of the a la carte menus from the resort? -the website says that the 'unlimited connectivity' app is coming soon in 2014. Has anyone heard specifically when (what month) it will be active for the Sapphire? I'm getting married in late Jan and am wondering if it will be working by then. -i am planning on bringing a bunch of my own decorations. does anyone know if i will be charged for setting up the following items (and if so, how much): -table cloth overlays -satin napkins -pearl and rhinestone confetti for reception tables -chair bows -fabric to hang from the huppa -starfish and twine to hold back fabric on the huppa -round paper lanterns (in ballroom) -silk rose petals for the aisle. -table numbers -place cards -menus I'm also planning to bring a special 'card/paper' to be given to each person at check-in which has all of the wedding events/locations/times etc. will they charge me for that if they just have to give it out at check-in? (people are arriving over several days) just over 5 months to go!! getting excited now!! 42 booked already!!

  20. Hi Megan, Anel told me if you're bringing in an outside photographer you don't have to pay the vendor fee, only the day pass fee, so that helps. I PM'd you some info on a photog I found down there, after 2+ months of research! hope it helps!
  21. Hello fellow Now Sapphire brides! Does anyone have pictures/copies of the A La Carte restaurant menu's at Sapphire? If not, would someone who is going to the resort in the near future be willing to take some and post? Also, does anyone know the schedule of the a la carte restaurants (which restaurants are closed each day). we have a larger group going (approx. 50), and arriving over several different days, so just trying to create a bit of a 'schedule' so people know where and when to find us if they want to dine with us throughout the week. (the second week will be our no-schedule/ relax week once most everyone else is gone) How have other brides handled the issue of getting to spend time with everyone when you've had a large group attend? suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!
  22. Bridetobeabcd Sorry about the last post... im not getting along with the mobile site very well at the moment! Eek we are only one day apart! So exciting! Planning is going well... 36 booked and counting! Bought my necklace, earrings and veil as well. Having sone trouble with shoes. .. so far I have purchased 4 pairs but after realized I dont really love any of them so back to the drawing board I guess. Struggling with what to do for decorations... really trying to limit what I take down with me, but also trying to limit my spending at the resort since by the time everyone books we will be double the amount of people that our package covers. What are you doing for decorations?

Has anyone taken advantage of the free round of golf per person per day that the resort is offering? my FI and I are wondering how this works, what fees are associated, and what is included when you arrive at the course. any insight is appreciated; we would love to pass on the specifics to our guests beforehand. thanks!!
