Congratulations!!!! I hope your day was really special! I would really love to see pictures of the Tucan Terrace if you get the chance. If you see any areas on property that would be great for bridal pictures let me know!!

Many thanks and enjoy your honeymoon!

My reception is on the Tucan Terrace too! I'd love to see pictures as well.

Hope you don't stress too much Jacqui, although I'm still 50 days out and have daily heart attacks lol...my poor groom. Who's your on-site coordinator?

I cry all the time. Last night my lovely FI sat with me patiently while I cried for 40 minutes. Thank goodness for our men!

I don't know who my on-site is. I am waiting on that email today. I will let you know!!

How is your planning going? I think we are ready to go. I will have to send you pictures of how we are doing the reception area!

Hi Ladies!

I was having the hardest time thinking of a clever guestbook for a destination wedding. I came across this on etsy and love it! My FI really likes it as well... he is hard to please at times!  We ordered it and can't wait to see it in person!

Is anyone having a reception in the ballroom? My wedding will be in june and we want our guests to be in the air conditioning.

We are using the Bugambilias gazebo for the ceremony. Is there a ballroom close that you'd recommend that doesn't appear to be dated. I know playacar palace ballroom has draping already do any have draping already at moon?

Also is there a terrace that is private and not by a gazebo/wedding location that I can use for the welcome party?

I plan to use the dinner reservation for the rehearsal dinner with bridal party and our close family members. Is there a restaurant that you recommend?

The Bugambilias gazebo is in a busier section of the resort than the Tucan gazebo with the lobbies for Sunrise and Nizuc close by. I think Nizuc might be closest and it's definitely the least busy out of the two. Maybe pick a ballroom in the Nizuc section? In any event be prepared for a lot of walking.

I don't really have any restaurant recommendations for you. I didn't really like the food at any of them but the Caribeno at Moon Grand was the best to me. It's also furthest away from everything so less busy.

I got married at the beginning of July and was shocked at how packed this resort was. Our wedding was fantastic but the sheer size of the place and crowds were not fun. Also for some stupid reason they put half of us in rooms next to the Moon Grand lobby and half in Sunrise meaning a 20 minute walk between the two.

Planning is going pretty good. I am sleeping better (no more night terrors, for now) and am trying to enjoy the process some what. My friend is supposed to be getting married in Cabo next week but everything has pretty much been ruined with the hurricanes so I'm trying to count myself grateful and not jinx anything for our side of Mexico!

Glad to hear your dress came! I went for a fitting on Wednesday and love my dress more and more everytime I try it on. It's Mori Lee 5108. What dress did you go with?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
