Hi! You already know what happened with mine.

Just be proactive and make sure that if the day of forecast calls for rain that you talk it out with the coordinator before hand. Unfortunately my coordinator was no where to be found the morning of our wedding and never even advised us that there was rain in the forecast. They asked us to make the decision to move inside after it already started raining and all of our rented decor items were setup outside. Which means they got wet. They refused to move in the majority of our items and did not give us a refund for the items that were not used at our reception even though no one asked if we wanted to move everything inside at all or even informed us of the forecast.

I hope you have beautiful weather and that everything goes according to plan but don't let it get to you too much if your plans change. I did and it totally ruined my day. Just take a few shots (if you drink) to ease the nerves and enjoy the company of your husband, friends and family.

Totally agree if your planner is nowhere to be found have someone find her.  Be proactive and voice your opinion on locations and things because ultimately you brought all this business there and you want the best experience and they should give you the best experience.  I'm grateful my planner was there for everything but I'm not sure how Moon Palace works so make sure when you have your first meeting with your planner that you get her number and ask her to be at all events.

Can anyone advise on what you have done or are planning to do if there is rain on your wedding day?!

All of my wedding decorations, tables, lighting I have rented is designed for our outside reception. I look at the weather for next week and absolutely panic!!!!

HELP!!

@@jackielemman In every hotel/resort have plan B, I mean more than one option when possible (determined by size and availability of spots for the day) , usually depending on the weather forecast that advice on time (when possible rain is something unknown in some small way), so this way you might never have an issue regarding rain, I have shot more than 400 weddings and when It rainsm, the wedding was previously moved and successfully held :)

We leave in exactly 1 week! I was told nicely by one of my coordinators to "stay off the internet, its too early to tell what the weather will be like in a week and a half. Things change daily around the Caribbean. You're making yourself crazy"  I laughed really hard!

I actually needed to be told directly to just knock it off! Tell me how it is and I will listen. My goal is to not check the weather until we get there! Why give myself a heart attack? I know it'll be beautiful either way!!

I will let everyone know how it goes. Happy planning everyone!!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
