Does anyone know anything about doing a midnight snack/buffet at Moon Palace? Does it count as a separate event since it's past midnight?

That's a great question / idea! i would love to know the answer.

Does anyone else have Brenda as their coordinator? My wedding is less than 60 days away and she is very slow at answering emails and never does a very good job at answering the specific requests or questions I have. It's really frustrating. I don't even know what I still need to plan for the wedding! Is there a way to change coordinators?

I'm in the process of trying to do the same. I have a coordinator named Margarita and i have the same exact problems. It is extremely frustrating because she gives me as little information as possible and the only way I get information about anything at all is because I have to ask a million different questions in a million different ways. It's not even about having to wait for a response. It's about having to wait for an answer and not getting one or getting just the minimum. Instead of making this process easier she has made it hell and If it wasn't for the fact that we are less than 60 days away as well and all my guests are booked I would have cancelled the whole thing. I just hope that it takes a turn for the better soon. I sent a long email to my TA and she said she would forward it to her contact at Moon Palace. Hopefully that gets me a more compident coordinator. I will let you know if it works!

We didn't get an on-site coordinator until 4 weeks before. We had Elizabeth, who I believe was off-site, and handed us to Josephine. Josephine didn't contact us until a little under 2 weeks before and we are still ironing out details. One week until we leave...

I hope that everything runs smoothly once we get there. I am also being all my contracts to make sure what we requested is what we get.

LSW002: I guess you didn't lock down your contract with Ocean first. What a bummer. We booked our photographer back in March so about 5 months before.

On another note, we booked our site venue 7 months before but I notice some people don't know their venue until they get there?

I am going July 14th to check out a couple resorts and Moon Palace is one on the list. After reading this thread I am unsure because of the coordinators! Any brides around to calm some anxieties? I have seen pictures from the resort and the weddings look beautiful! The coordinators probably have done so many weddings they know not to stress and how to get it all done right? :)

Most everyone that has posted about their wedding there have been happy with the outcome. I'm hoping i have the same sentiments after everything is done. I'm sure once we get there everything will be fine but the planning process is very stressful.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
