@@KirstyWass well to reach the 75 room nights its calculated per room so if you have 27 guests staying 14 nights is that 2 people a room so about 13 rooms booked?  If yes, then you will definitely be over the 75 room nights and should qualify for 7 complimentary nights and free cocktail hour and up to 2 hours of your reception.  If this is the case I wouldn't do any wedding package and just go with complimentary package and add on my decor, etc.   I would ask your travel agent about the free amenities.

@@KirstyWass So the 10 rooms will count towards your room block and at 14 nights that's 140 nights so you reach the amount of nights you need for the unlimited events and 7 complimentary nights.  I'd confirm this with your travel agent if you do qualify that's a big savings and you can used the free events plan a welcome party and rehearsal dinner plus have the cocktail hour and 2 hours of your reception on your wedding day covered. I'm hoping to get to 75 room nights booked, right now I only have 48 nights booked but I still have 2 months for my guests to book so crossing my fingers.

Hi Fellow MP Brides! We've set out date for November 6th and most of our plans are moving quite smoothly - but my fiancé and I have been discussing the music. We know we don't want a DJ (too expensive) and I don't mind creating my own playlist but I'm wondering if it's really worth it to pay the money for a speaker system and microphone/docking system. Anyone considered trying to make due with a Bose system? We have under 30 people.

Did any past brides have any issues with the wedding department not accepting your credit card form/copy/ID? I've sent mine twice now and she keeps coming back to say that they don't match... when they clearly do because I'm the one that has signed them all!! This is very frustrating since I don't know what else to send to them. Anybody else have this issue?

Hey everyone! We are getting ready to get everything set for our wedding on 7/7/14 and I wanted to see if any past brides have any suggestions on where to have our cocktail hour. We aren't going to use it on our wedding day, since we are now going to have a private reception. Also, if you have any cocktail menu suggestions as well, we would be greatful! Hopefully everyone is happily planning!!!

We just bought the Bose Sound Dock 10 to take with us. We tested it out with a party of 40 people in our backyard and it was incredible! We are bringing it so that we can use it for all of our events and not have to pay $300 for a speaker each time! Fingers crossed it works as well at the resort as it did at our party!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
