When I bought my dress in September I loved it so much I cried. The woman helping me said my face lit up when I put it on. However, part of me is wondering if I made a mistake! I went with a simple light weight beachy dress. It is one shoulder and has some beading, but nice and flowy! I guess it is not a traditional princess wedding dress and I am thinking maybe I should have done that! I think the other problem was the dress at the fitting was huge and so I couldn't tell what it will really look like until they fix it, but am I crazy? Am I the only one thinking this??!! Help!!

I've seen a few ladies say the same thing. I'm sure your dress is perfect, there is a reason you feel in love with it!!  Did you take any pictures of it so we can see it?

I think if you had the feeling before, once it all comes together, you will probably have it again!  You just need to picture it how you initially saw yourself and how it will look with shoes, hair and make-up done, jewelry and your bouquet!  It's not easy to picture it until you're in the moment...

First problem- i was with a friend and this was an impromptu appt. I will be making a day of dress shopping 6/12 with my mom, fmil, and MOH, I must have there approval :) This was at Davids Bridal, which I'm not a huge fan of, but yes they do allow pics to be taken. The dress on sale is $725 + alterations and taxes. I have a couple appointments set up at other more boutiquey places that i hope iwll offer more of a variety as DB was very limited in the lace fabric. The more I look at the pic the more I question it. In any event I'm ecstatic to have my mom, fmil, and moh go with me and make a day of dress shopping, I hope to walk out of the store with a dress bought (and run to this site to post pics haha)

I haven't been in this situation but maybe it's just a grass is always greener type thing?  I'm sure your dress is beautiful, maybe it just other stresses and nerves manifesting itself this way? Especially since as you said the dress was fitting quite large and you had a hard time envisioning the final fitted product?  You fell for this dress once, so like the other girls have said, once you have everything in place I'm sure you'll get those feelings again!

Cinnagirl,

This dress is timeless & classic.  You will make one beautiful bride.  Light & soft is perfect!

It is super light and so soft. The layering of the fabric really emphasizes your curves. It's one of the Vera Wang Whites that are in David's Bridal stores now. 7 more weeks until it comes in!!

KellyKanester,

It looks just as amazing as it did when you first picked it out - you should post it over & over!  You look like a Princess!  I love the bodice!

Kkeeve01 -

So elegant!  I love the rouching to the side!!!  The delicate beading & lace overlay is perfect & just enough added detail!

OK, this was my fave that I tired on, but I walked out of the store not buying it. Opinions ladies?

Dzaccaria,

LOVE LOVE LOVE the champagne dress!  You did not go wrong getting this as a sample dress.  You have enough of it to tailor exactly to your fit!!!  I love the detail in the bodice as well as the sash/bow/.  MAGNIFICENT!

Definitly needs lots of alterations especially since I am only 4'10! But you get the idea! Never in a million years did i think i would wear this type of dress on my wedding day but I fell in love with the lace and how simple and lightweight it is!

And this is a close up of the beading and the bow...

Janette34,

This dress fits you PERFECTLY.  Love the bodice and how the material comes together to form the flower!  Gorgeous!!  Your accessories are FABULOUS, too!  Love the necklaces (starfish, too!)  Is that layered soft water pearls?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
