Show us your wedding dress!

Recommended Posts

So I tried on dresses for the FIRST TIME EVER this Saturday!  My future MIL was in town so she and 2 of my bridesmaids came with me to a random store I goggled 30 minutes before we set out.  There just happened to be a trunk show going on and the designer said she loved me in the dress!  I'm still doing running of the brides in April and hope I can find one for less than the listed $2800.

I found a similar dress at David's Bridal and am checking it out this weekend!

Adele Couture Gown on the model  (I look better in it but I'm holding out on sharing the pic of me in the dress)

Thanks! That is a good point about the satin skirt. I have to remember that when I start trying dresses on(next month).

Don't worry you will find the perfect dress! I have a feeling it will take me awhile too. After seeing so many great dresses on here I feel like I keep changing my mind on what I want. Whatever you find I am sure you will look amazing!

This looks gorgeous!!!!  I've tried on many similar, mermaid style dresses, but I never feel quite comfortable in them.  I would totally try this one on if I could find it locally. And I'm so glad to hear that you found something you love after so long - I've been searching for only a month, and I feel so discouraged already.  The one dress that I do love and can totally see myself wearing in the WTOO Desdemona, but it's more than I would like to spend, and I don't think my mom really loves it.  I will have to hold out hope that I find something I really really love just like you did :)

Here is my Alvina Valenta Bridal Gown! I tried on over a 100 dresses in over 6 months and thought I would never find the perfect dress.  I think I went to every bridal store in Colorado! lol I was starting to think something was wrong with me and that there was no perfect dress out there for me. I was about to settle on a dress but then I found THE ONE and I am so in love with it!!  The wait was definatley worth it and I can't wait for my first dress fitting! cheesy.gif

It is a Maggie Sottero dress- Caprice.  It is made of chiffon and has crystal beaded straps and a t-back.  I love it!  We are getting married in St. Lucia next year and I wanted something that reflected my style (not princessy, figure flattering but still comfortable).

That is my daughter in the picture with me:)

Congrats on finding your dream dress! Its gorgeous-I've always liked the Maggie Sottero Reese dress (same t-back style) but a friend already wore that as her reception dress last year (actually, she just got back from St. Lucia for their 1 yr anniversary & loved it). Good luck! Your daughter's adorable btw!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
