Ok, her name is Maye Cortinas, here is a link to some info about her.

Like I said I'm not the greatest source for info in regards to Cabo but she is definitly highly recomended among this board. I'm sure there are a couple other WC's that the girls could recomend to you too. Hope this helps for a start anyway. I believe her prices are fairly reasonable too. Good luck. :)

Hi Amy

Do you know where you want to get married yet? If it's at a resort or hotel a lot of them have a wedding coordinator included that will work for you. If you're having a lot of people sometimes people hire "Day Of" coordinators to keep things running smoothly.

I think someone is using Lovely Weddings and like them. There's another coordinator called Lisa Galvin I think that people like but I don't have her contact info - maybe put up a thread asking someone to send it to you...

I am also using Maye Cortinas - she has great prices and a lot of people have had good experiences with her. I think that there have been a few brides on here who have had some bad experiences with the bigger companies - the ones who post all over the internet. Their prices also tend to be a lot higher so I would try and steer clear of them.

I had originally been in contact with Bella Brides and Weddings in Paradise but both companies have very high prices so I decided against using them. Anyway I know that you'll be able to find someone great - definitely send Maye an email at least to get a quote. Let us know if you have more questions!

Hi Amy, I'm doing a site visit next week in Cabo and I'm meeting with WIP, Rosy with Lovely weddings and Maye C. I have to tell you so far Rosy and Maye are great over emails. Maye is slighly lower in price. I will have a full review when I return on Friday the 17th. If you want to wait to make your decision.

  • 2 weeks later...

I just got engaged this past weekend and we are hoping to plan a spring wedding in cabo. not sure how realistic that will be... I have been looking up coordinators on-line and I wanted to know if anyone had a recommendation. I have corresponded with WeddingsByHeart (blanca) and WeddingsParadise (jennifer). Has anyone used either of these? Or do you have another recommendation? We will be scouting in late December and I'm not sure if it's best to have a coordinator take us around, or if we should do it on our own and work with the coordinator on site at each hotel. Any advice or recommendations would be really helpful, especially if I want to plan such a quick wedding - I'd love to have a coordinator I can trust that can do a lot of the leg work for us. thanks!

Hi! I am working directly with my hotel coordinator at Finisterra. If you choose a hotel that has one, you might not want to add another layer. There is another thread on this issue and I know many of the brides have been very unhappy with their coordinators. Tammy just fired WIP. Through this forum, you can find out pretty much everything to do it on your own! And you have plenty of time to pull it off. Best of luck!

Jen

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
