    Hello-

I am newly engaged and I am trying to plan a wedding for next October in Riviera Maya.  The wedding is going to be 100+ guests and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for resorts that are big enough to accomodate this number?  We would love an outdoor ceremony.

    Thank you!

        Hi Stacie,

        Congrats on your engagement!!!!

There are several great venues for +100 guests, here are a few you might want to look into:

Rosewood Mayakoba. Nestled in the intimacy of the jungle with super amenities, tranquil ambiance, rivers and golf course.

Ak'iin Beach Club Tulum. Beautiful beach and has many eco-boutique hotels nearby where your guests can stay :)

Xcaret Eco-Park. A few minute drive from Playa del Carmen, this is a magnificent location!!

Feel free to send me a PM for more ideas and recommendations.

        Happy Planning!!

            Hey Staciej,

Congratulation on your engagement, as everyone here as suggested some good resort who are big enough to have 100+guests. As a wedding planner in the Riviera Maya my advice to you is to ask yourself they following questions:

are you looking for all inclusive resort? does it have to be a family friendly resort? and what price range do you have in mind for your guests to pay for their stay? Is having a non resort wedding an option? these answers will help you narrow down some potions

Feel free to ask me anything and I will be happy to help!

            Happy Planning!

              Hi Stacij,

I'm in the final stages of planning a large wedding in Mexico also.  We started with a guest list of 400 people, so a destination wedding was our only choice for natural list attrition.  If you haven't already planned your venue, I would be happy to help with some ideas.  We anticipate between 150-200 people for our May 2013 wedding.  There are some wonderful places in Mexico.  Both west and east.  Happy planning!

I'm not sure what your personal budget is but Palace Resorts are pretty awesome for big weddings.  Once you hit 75 room nights, all private functions are free.  This way you can host private brunches, cocktail hours, etc. without having to pay anything additional.

okay so what are you saying. That lets say I have 60 guests staying double occupancy. so, 30 rooms booked per night. If they were to stay 4 nights that would equal 120 nights then I could qualify for Free Functions????
