I'm using Sascha Gluck for photos... I really loved Ivan luckie too. Both are affordable and only require a day pass!

I'm using cinematic riviera maya for video! Not much more than the resort video and I'm sure way better.

Send me your email and I can send the info for Zuniga!

Less than 2 weeks to go, can't believe the wedding is so soon!

I sent you a PM.....OMG 2 weeks, so exciting!!!!!

AmandaPierson! Omg, your wedding is this weekend! So exciting! Cant wait to hear all about it and see pictures! =)

Lynz797, your wedding is the Monday right before mine! :) We are getting married on the 25th.

For make-up i have decided on Styling Trio! I really loved his work and really wanted the airbrusing done. I still don't know what i am going to do about flowers and deocrations. I contacted some florists outside of the resort, but they all seemed comparable to to resort florists. To make my life easier, i might go with the flowers the resort is quoting me. Unless anyone recommends a diferent option?

For photography, i decided on Sascha Gluck. I really liked his pictures best.

For videography, i still have no idea. We are on a tight budget, so i am still looking for someone i love, but that can work with our budget. Do you have a videogrpaher yet?

Hey Fareda! If you would like I could send you a list of some of the decorations that I'm renting out now that my wedding is done. I live down here in Playa Del Carmen, so I bought a lot of the decor rather than renting. I have lanterns, tables runners, vases, etc. Send me a PM if you'd like to see some photos and pricing. Congrats on your wedding a happy planning!

Such beautiful pictures! I am betting so excited! Only 31/2 months away!

Have any of the other brides used Ocean Photo Studio? I was comparing all the prices and they seem to be the most reasobly priced. Has anyone used them and loved their work? Are they easy to work with? Obviously, pictures are so important and i want them to be stunning, but we are also on a budget =/

Any help or advice would be much appreciated! :)

I'm not sure about Ocean Photo Studio, but the photographer, Susana, that I posted a couple of pages back from My Adorable Bridal is around $1500 USD. :) www.myadorablebridal.com

Sorry I can't be of more help!

The following message I posted to my June Playacar Palace Brides thread.

I used Photos In Cancun and to make a long story short I actually booked them the DAY OF o_0 . Thankfully they sent a a wonderful photographer and his assistant and they worked out something that fit our budget... The non-wedding pics are not their work, but they took all of the pics shown for the wedding and reception. Stuart was who they sent to do the work, but I worked everything out with Derek and he's AWESOME.

Hey guys haven't sent the photographer the edits I want to have done yet but I'm going to post a few pics of the wedding. It was awesome! :-) The following pics are of the resort (Playacar Palace), cocktail hour and rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, reception and the photo shoot we did with our resort credits before we went to Secrets Silversands for our honeymoon. Epic wedding and honeymoon!! woot.gif

Hi,

I used resort credits for the spa - we got a couples massage for $28 total! You can only use up to a maximum amount at the spa - we had $1500 credits per couple, and you could use up to $300 at the spa. You pay tax in cash on any credits you use (and tip if you want) and thats it.

You cannot use credits to golf at the course next door - you can only use the credits at Moon Palace to golf. You can take transportation there, it is about 50 mins away, a few of our guests did that.

We also used credits on a trip to tulum and to upgrade wine at dinner.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
