  1. AmandaPierson! Omg, your wedding is this weekend! So exciting! Cant wait to hear all about it and see pictures! =) Lynz797, your wedding is the Monday right before mine! We are getting married on the 25th. For make-up i have decided on Styling Trio! I really loved his work and really wanted the airbrusing done. I still don't know what i am going to do about flowers and deocrations. I contacted some florists outside of the resort, but they all seemed comparable to to resort florists. To make my life easier, i might go with the flowers the resort is quoting me. Unless anyone recommends a diferent option? For photography, i decided on Sascha Gluck. I really liked his pictures best. For videography, i still have no idea. We are on a tight budget, so i am still looking for someone i love, but that can work with our budget. Do you have a videogrpaher yet?
  2. Hi brides! Have any of you used Ocean Photo Studio (the preferred photogrpaher that the resort recommends)? I was comparing all the prices and they seem to be the most reasobly priced. Has anyone used them and loved their work? Are they easy to work with? Obviously, pictures are so important and i want them to be stunning, but we are also on a budget =/ Any help or advice would be much appreciated!

  5. Hi PP Birdes! My wedding is in November and i was wondering if any of you have used the PP resort spa/Salon to get your hair and/or make-up done? If so, what did you think? Any help/advice would be much appreciated!

Yes of course And yes, the WC said if we bring our own sound and lighting (and don't use their in house provider) that a $500 fee would be applied and $250 fee for using electricity! i know! it is ridiculous =( Its already stressful enough and for them to have to force us to use their vendors makes it even more stressful. And yes, i heard that their DJ was not very good. But I am still doing some research to see if we hire our own DJ and maybe use their sound and Lighting and only pay the $250 fee. I heard that some DJ's still come out cheaper even with the $250 fee. Where are you getting your hair and make-up done?
  7. Hi Amanda, I have found your posts sooo helpful =) Just wondering, for your flowers, it sounds like you went with an outside florist becasue it was more reasonably priced than the resort? Did the resort give you a hard time or charge you anything extra for hiring someone else to do your flowers?
  8. Hello Playacar Palace Brides I am soo happy I came across this forum! I am getting married November 25, 2013 and I desperately need some advice about using outside vendors vs. the vendors the resort provides. I have heard good things about DJ Doremixx- but my W/C Dulce is saying it will cost $500 plus another $250 to bring in an outside DJ, is that true? And flowers, should i go with the resort flowers or should i hire an outside florist? Will PP charge me a fee for buying my flowers from the outside? Has anyone gotten their hair and make-up done at the PP Salon/Spa? I compared the PP salon prices to The Styling Trio (which i have heard GREAT things and they do airbrush make-up) and it comes out to be about the same. I'm just not sure who to go with and not sure if the resort will charge for bringing in a day guest? Is there a way to get around that? And lastly, photographer and videographer- Does anyone recommend an amazzzing photographer and videographer that is decently priced? Any advice/help would be soooo appreciated
