Newbie: Playacar Palace March 2013

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!

I am new to the forum and want to thank everyone for their posts, they have been so helpful!

We are planning to get have a symbolic ceremony in March 2013 at Playacar Palace, and we will get legally married quietly at home beforehand.  I hope this doesn't take away from the ceremony in mexico.  It's just so much easier to do the legal stuff here and not need the waiting period and bloodwork and translations.

I look forward to spending time on this forum.

The Playacar Palace resort located in Playa del Carmen is one of the best resort for your wedding.

To give you an idea here are some pictures of one of the last wedding we did there.

Hi everyone!!

I'm new to this, and think this site is wonderful with all the helpful tips and advice. It sure has helped me narrow down which resorts I am considering.  My only problem is that I can't decide between which Palace resort I want my wedding to take place! I fell in love with Playacar Palace, but there really isn't a lot of threads out there about it. My other consideration was Moon Palace, but my problem with that resort is that it seems too big for my taste. And does anyone know if it's too soon to confirm a date for 2014?   ANY info/advice/help is greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks :-)

Hola Kalialyssa,

We LOVE the Playacar Palace for its superb service, location and surroundings (Mayan ruins nearby)!! Of course the Moon Palace is a great resort as well, but if you are looking for a modern and intimate wedding...Playacar is the way to go!!!

Most hotels and vendors start taking reservations 12 months in advance, so if you are considering 2014 you might be a bit too early.

Happy Planning!!

Hi there,

Anyone on here aware of there is any 'green space' at the resort?  It looks like a beautiful spot, and i love the idea of a private wedding on the terrace.  However, i'd like options to have photos done around greenery and foliage as well as the beach.  Thanks

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
