2013 Now Larimar Brides !!! Any out there ???

Recommended Posts

From what I've gathered on here and heard from the wc - it seems like the actual table set up will be best left until you get there...  I'm not paying for extra decorations(sooo pricey!)... But, I am bringing some things along with me - just to add to the tables... and maybe the backdrop with some paper lanterns and pomanders...  I'm scared I won't fit everything into the suitcase!!

I have to buy a luggage set I'm hoping to wait until boxing day or black Friday and get some things cheap on line or if I make it to the states! I want going to bring anything but just like a thank you letter and a small welcome bag for everyone.. Are you doing menu's ? I seen in other forums that a lot of people are... are you? I just don't get the point. Are you getting your make up done at the spa or doing it on your own? Your wedding is sooo soon! I just seen your date! PS did you end up finding the dress, I know last time I was on here you were having troubles finding something you liked.

Hi Mandie...  I'm not going to bother with menu's... I probably won't decide until the last minute what we are having...  I'm also bringing small welcome bags, and the wedding party gifts... along with gifts for my parents and favours - hoping I can have them shipped straight to the resort though... I'm not sure about the make up yet... I have a couple friends coming who are really good with that.. may just have them do it - then they can do a practice round before hand... but getting my hair done there...  You FREAKED me out a bit by saying sooooooo soon!! hahaha... I guess it is - I think I just keep saying to myself that it is still so far away - I don't feel organized!!  Time really goes quickly though!!   My year engagement just passed...  I ended up picking something online... EEK!  I tried LOTS of places here - but just no luck... So, that part is a bit scary too - ordered a dress without even trying it on!!  I will keep you updated though - I should have it in a couple months!

I'm not getting married at NOW Larimar, but we've decided to book HDC as our photographers. Great prices, and awesome reviews. I believe they're rated #1 on the board. Only thing is, is that since they're an outside photographer, we're being charged a fee of $300.

Hey all you lovely Destination Brides out there!  :)
I too am getting married at the Now Larimar on April 26th, 2013... and you guys have been suuuuuuper informative!  So glad I stumbled upon this forum!

With regards to the Resort Photographer, WBA Photography?  Has anyone heard anything about them?  I visited the website that someone else had posted, and they seem to do decent work.
Would love to get a first hand account of someone who has gone with them for their wedding photographer!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
