2013 Paradisus Palma Real

Recommended Posts

Hi guys - getting married here in about a month. Let me know if you have any questions! I did a site visit in August - happy to help any way I can. The Gabi is an additional charge of approx 9k to privatize the restaurant.

Hi Ladies,

I'm new to the board and extremely nervous about planning a destination wedding. We have set a date of June 16, 2013 and are almost sure about selecting the Paradisus Palma Real to host our wedding. We've previously vacationed at the sister hotel Paradisus Punta Cana and it was nice we're just looking for a little more luxury. Any thoughts and/or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

xoxo,

Darlene

Hi I am newly engaged as well and considering booking the Paradisus Palma Real for our wedding. Feeling a little overwhelmed.. Everybody seems to have an opinion about prices for packages etc.. At the end of the day this is our honeymoon as well so it has to be amazing!! I went to several travel agents but actually the best pricing was directly from the paradisus planner. I stayed in the Reserve last may with my fiancé and we both agreed this was an amazing place for a wedding. The whole time we were imagining a wedding here with our family. I also stayed at the melia caribe as well as the royal service in paradisus Punta Cana! Neither compare. This place is absolutely amazing! Atmosphere, impeccable upscale grounds and the best food I have had at an all inclusive. Not to mention the level of service. I feel great about guests staying here. I know everyone doesn't do a site visit so I just wanted to share my experience! Hope it helps. Kelly

Hi Guys! I will definitely post pictures for you when I get back at the end of April. We chose the Aqua package but we aren't actually using any of the aqua decor - I just wanted the sit-down dinner, so this was the best option. We are also doing a Welcome Dinner for all guests the night before the wedding in lieu of a rehearsal dinner. It's actually one of the few things I didn't have to pay extra for - they just can't tell you the exact time/restaurant until the week prior. My biggest recommendation to all of you 2013 brides is to save every single email between you and your romance planner. There were many times they came back to me in the process with rates higher than originally quoted, and I had to send them emails from months prior.  I'd also recommend you book the bridal suite if you can - it's a really beautiful room with mani/pedi table, platform to get your dress on, hair chairs, etc. This way you and your bridesmaids can get ready in your own private area (that isn't your bedroom). They can also bring in lunch/champagne. There is an added cost, but very worth it for me. For photos, I am using HDC - they did my best friend's wedding and were fantastic. Of course I booked before they instituted this new charge - that would have made me think twice. Any other specific questions, let me know!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
