Yes i paid $150 set up fee, but this was for:

-sashes on the chairs for the ceremony

-the long table (33 guests) including linens napkins, plates, centerpieces, the chairs

-the strings of white laterns

-the pinata

And I did pay the 11% IVA

Keep in mind i did the complimentary package so I rented everything through Zuinga. So i felt the $150 was fair.

But remember Beach Palace will also charge you a set up fee for anything additional you bring. I paid another $300 to Beach Palace to have them set up my fans and programs for the ceremony, and to put out my place cards, put cupcake wrappers on my cupcakes put out the cupcake to go bags, place my cupcake sign and signature drink sign, signature drink straws. Put the candy in the Pinata, tie the bride and groom sign onto our chairs, and to put out my guest book

Thank you so much for your feedback!!

Thank you! That made me feel better! How was the site visit? Was BP beautiful??

It was absolutely beautiful!!!  I love the hotel, food, and the service was great!  The site visit was amazing and I would so recommend it to anyone that is planning a wedding there and has budget for it.  I really made me a little at ease with the whole process since I got to meet face to face the wedding planner, all the vendors, and see the ceremony/receptions areas in person.  All of the vendors were very knowledgeable, and were all very nice and helpful.  I had the opportunity to see the set up of 2 weddings, one happened to be complimentary package, and the decor is just as it is on the website, very pretty and elegant!  I hope you have a wondering time at your Wedding and can't wait to hear all about it when you return!

How long was the visit and were you able to spend the day there or were you usherd out right after.  (Sorry for all the questions lol) Thanks!

Yes, there is a cost, but it is severely discounted for the first 3 days, I would contact them directly for prices.  I went through my travel agent since she works directly with Palace hotels.  We stayed a total for 4 nights and 5 days, and just paid regular price for the last night.  The first 3 days, we had vendor meetings scheduled, and the last day we finally had time to relax.  We got to use ALL of the amenities each since we were staying on the property and were treated as if we were regular guests, so it was awesome that we got to try out all the restaurants and amenities and will know what to recommend to our guests.   I'm more than happy to answer any questions, and I have really used this forum to answer some of mine, so I love to pay it forward! :-)

Hey guys,

I leave for the airport at 2:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, my flight leaves at 6 a.m. I'm soo excited! I'm all packed already :-) Fiance just needs to pick up his tux tomorrow and we're ready.

I'm sure you guys heard about the plane crash at San Francisco International airport. So terrible! And that's the airport I'm flying out of :/ So far my flight is still on schedule, so please pray for me that it doesn't get cancelled or delayed! We had friends/guests leave for Cancun from SFO this morning. Their flight was delayed 2 1/2 hours but I'm just thankful it wasn't cancelled. They should be at the hotel by now :-)

I can't wait to tell you guys all about it.

I've been reading on various review sites about certain restrictions on the resort credits that isn't readily available. I'm wondering for those who was there recently whether they experienced any sort of push back when trying to use/apply their credits. Other than the 11% tax which is clearly in the fine print, there hasn't been too much info out there I was able to find so would appreciate any help.

Thanks in advanced.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
