Hey, I agree with sharon, you should definitely go now! I went for my first dress fitting this past Thursday and my 2nd is not for another 4 weeks. You need to keep in mind that they are VERY busy this time of year getting ready for all the May/June brides. It can really be a long process. Congrats on the weight loss!

I agree with the other brides. I have my first dress fitting this evening. make sure you're prepared. If you still don't want to go in this early, contact your seamstress/bridal store and make sure they can have your dress ready for you by the time you leave with no rush charges.  As Allie mentioned most places are ramping into wedding season and grad season depending on your seamstress or where you purchased your dress. I won't hurt to get started early and make sure you're prepared!

Congrats on the weight loss!!!!  My wedding is May 31st and I have one of my dress fittings scheduled early April and the last one is early May....I would ask where you are having your alterations done, they would be able to tell you if they are super busy, etc...and when you should schedule.  That's what my dress place did.  :)

I can't believe we leave in almost 1 month! (4/29!) I have been panicking trying to get everything done. And we move on Friday too! 

I still have some projects that I need to finish up but am so bad at the DIY crap!

Gotta attach the ribbon and cards to the maracas, ribbons to the fans(which I am having trouble with lol). Still gotta put my luggage tags and ribbons together and get them sent out and lastly print out my welcome packets for the oot bags. UGH!!! I will just say this one more time, I am really bad with ribbons!! 

Also realized last night that I need to order 4 more maracas :( 

Still need to order our rings and the most important part is get legally married here before we go too!

 

My shower is on the 7th and bach party is the 21st...gonna be busy next few weekends that's for sure!!

 

How is everyone's planning coming along? I feel like I should have all this done by now...

I just had my shower this past weekend and my bach party is 4.28.

 

I have bunch of little things to do, but I feel that I am forgetting something major!!!

Are you mailing down all your stuff to the resort or bringing it with you?  I first thought I would mail everything, now Im nervous!

No way!! I am bringing it down with me. I plan on taking 2 bags. 1 with all my clothes and the other with all the wedding related items. After reading these threads I dont feel comfortable sending them there. Plus I would be worrying about them until I arrived. If my bags are too heavy FI will have to carry some crap lol! We have 7 people flying with us that morning including my mom, so I can always have herthem carry items for me too if I need it.

is anyone else slightly panicked? I'm not questioning the marriage or the guy, it's more everything that's gone into all the planning and preparation. I've been working on the wedding for over a year and a half. I tried on my dress at the seamstress' and realized that the next time I'd be wearing it was THE day. I felt a little terrified.

 

am I just a perfectionist, or is anyone else feeling this way?

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
