Moon Palace 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

So Sorry to hear about your coordinator. Our wedding is the day after yours, Sunday the 25th and we have had the same experience. This is the worst service I have ever received, by a long shot!

I most certainly would think someone would have things under control, but apparently not. The only reason we finally got a response, after multiple e-mails and phone calls was because Palace wanted the remainder of the deposit, etc!!

When I finally got someone on the phone and explained we will be arriving in Mexico in less than 2 weeks....long pause, then ooohhhhh.  Yeah really oooohhhhh, maybe someone should pull their head out of their a** and realize people are spending a lot of time and energy, not to mention having large groups of people travel with them.

If you know of who we can complain to, please send along some contact info.

Last part of my vent, I have never seen so many brothers and sisters so jealous and selfish in my entire life. Going through something like this really shows you who your true Friends are!

Please consider another resort. Our wedding is March 25th and our coordinator quit and now we are 2 weeks away with absolutely nothing confirmed.

I would highly reccommend Now Sapphire. It is a smaller resort, so depending on the size of your group, may be a better fit. Much more luxurious, better choices, better service, etc. I am kicking myself now for not originally choosing it.

Three weeks, how exciting! I'm glad you're cast is coming off, just in time. Let me know how the bouquets go, I'm worried about how crafty I can be with mine..

I am sooo confused about photography and video   aaaahhhhhhhhhhh. I was under the impression that Smile Market was the Moon Palace photog and "moments that matter" was just a different package? I am also wondering if the CD you pay extra for is of just the pics they print (which Im guessing) and not the negatives off all the pics. And the video is an hour, which the ceremony is only 30 mins...so do they throw the same 36 or whatever pics in the sildeshow throughout.

Basically am I paying extra for all the same pics???

Hi Ladies,

I noticed some talk of photographers. Does anyone know what company/photog the resort uses so that I can perhaps see some of their work?

Also, is it a lot more expensive in total to bring in an outside photog? I am really skimping out on most elements of me wedding but I really want the pictures to be nice. I am hoping not to spend more than $1000 and I want a CD with pics on it and I don't care if they give me any actual pics.

Any advice or info would be awesome.

Smile Market is the in-house photographer.  They have some reviews on this website.  If you hire an outside photographer you will have to book them a room for 1 or 2 nights (people get different answers).  If you only want to spend $1000 I would book with Smile Market!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
