I'm so excited to give it to them too....I don't know if I can wait until we are there!!

I wanted to go for a beachy inspired look to the jewelry instead of matching them to our colors. I just really liked the look of the more organic stones/gems. Mine have a bit more "bling" to them, but they all tie in quite nicely! It was actually HER wedding foot jewelry that made me want to get some, so I went for that look and boy did she DELIVER!!

Thank you Chelsea for putting up with my craziness and making something so beautiful! You are amazing and talented, and you know I will be coming to you for all my future custom made jewelry!! :)

Thanks lady!

Things have been good for the most part! Crazy, but pretty good. Every time I get back from a few days off I just get SLAMMED at work. Then it was more work from my house (I'm an Esthetician, and I do Lash Extensions on the side), a birthday party for a couple co-workers, AND unfortunately my baby girl Bianca (Shih Tzu mix) had to be taken to the vet early yesterday morning for testing. She may be in the early stages of kidney failure...OR diabetes. I'm completely crushed by it. She is the LOVE of my life and my baby. We have an incredibly close bond since I had her at 4 weeks old so I'm definitely her mommy.

Other than that everything else is good! Wedding planning is going well and I got quite a bit done while I was in MT. I'm at least feeling a little more relieved now that I have gotten a good start on some of those projects!

How are things your way?!?

Thats great!! You probably would have regretted decreasing later. We talked about doing the same with our Playacar Palace stay for the 5 days after the wedding. I was starting to FREAK about how much the wedding was going to cost (especially if we didn't reach our 75 nights) and thought we should cut it down or cut it completely to save money. In the end though we decided that this is a once in a lifetime thing, and even if we got to do it at another date it wouldn't quite be the same. GOOD going FI! You will be in HEAVEN when you get there!

You are on a roll! WooHoo!! Oh man the dress is almost here!! Eeeek!!! I'm so excited for you! I need to try mine on again...its been almost a year!!

Have you sent out any pre-travel brochures out yet? I need to start mine ASAP!!!

Summer,

Have you made an appointment at Stardust Bridal (Plano?) It's where they filmed at least the first season of "Girl Meets Gown". Their sister shop is in downtown Dallas and it's called Lulu's. It's very tiny but has lower price points and tons of gowns. I'm not sure exactly what kind of gowns you're looking for, but if you need any other suggestions in the area just let me know! ;)

coconoir I'm liking the garters!  I agree with your dislike of the cowboys.  I'm from MN and currently living in TX and I see that ugly star everywhere.

My Mom and 12 year old sis are flying in from MN tomorrow!!  The three of us along with my MIL and SIL are heading to Dallas on Saturday to go dress shopping!  Can't WAIT :)  BTW anyone know of any good dress shops in Dallas/ Fort Worth?

Now it's getting scary Coco...

First of all, GREAT idea!!  Second of all, we're a Pitt household all the way since my husband went to Pitt and I "technically" did through Semester at Sea when Pitt had the program! Tooooo funny. On top of it, we're now living in Dallas so...when are you moving here? :) XOXO

Well packages are still trickling in and I'm still checking off the list of what has been received and what still needs to be purchased or DIYed.  Thank goodness the latter two list are dwindling down YAY!  There is a light at the end of the "we're spending $ every day or damn near tunnel" LOL

So the latest item that has come in are my garters.  Not really a big fan of them and despise the garter & bouquet toss but then I found a way to make it fun.  Well FI loves the Cowgirls I mean Cowboys Haha.. and I'm a Steelers girl all the way (I went to College in Pgh. started Grad school there, had my son there, etc...so I lived there for a good 10years).  We can't stand each other's team  and to top it off many of his friends are coming like the Steelers and some the Cowgirls so this will be fun... the end product is pictured below.

The left side is the Girls and the right side is the Best Team Ever....The Black and Yellow!

thumb-1.jpgthumb.jpgimage.jpg     Ok Ladies, this is my first attempt at posting a picture, so please bear with me......this is THE dress I will be getting married in. It's Casablanca 1975, which I ordered last month. The FI really wanted me to wear something that showed curves. I'm pretty nervous, cause usually I'm trying to hide or minimize them, especially my booty. No hiding optional in this baby. I originally was thinking of something "flowy and chiffony" but as he and I looked at websites together, the FI always commented that he hoped I wouldn't try to hide under ruffles or a big gown. My MOH started to cry when I tried this one on and convinced me that as my 39th birthday quickly approaches, I need to finally learn to embrace my curves. I will post a picture of me in the actual dress in February when I get the alterations done. Hope you girls approve.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
