Congrats and welcome!! My friend is getting married at Dreams in Punta Cana this June I will be attending the wedding! The site for that resort looks beautiful!! Have you decided on a date yet?

We are using Liz from Liberty Travel/Gallery Market East.  My FI have used her for years so we decided to stay local!  If you want I will PM your info to her.

Thank you so much for responding. I am actually going to be down there this Sunday to get my ring sized at the jeweler LOL  But generally the Gallery is pretty far for us...but its funny because I was thinking about going with Liberty Travel there is one in the Willow Grove mall right where I live but I recently did not have a great experience with one of the agents that works there. (Long story short my friend is getting marrided in Punta Cana this June so I called her travel agent at Liberty to book, the agent first took almost 2 whole days to get back to me with quotes then she could not meet with me for another two days so by the time we actually met the rates had gone up!! I was pissed! I just think that particluar agent takes on more then she can handle) So I wish there was a way I could get info on each agent that works there so I could pick one...I tried googling for reviews and came up empty. I know you said you guys have been using your agent for years so years ago how did you decide to use her? I feel like if I call Liberty Travel and tell them what I want to do they will assign me to who ever is available at the time of my call. Thank you so much for responding I really appreciate it:)

Hi all, I have been searching this site for a while, we are planning for a wedding in June 2012 at the Royal PDC. This site has been great there are so many details that I wouldn't have thought about. I was wondering if anyone thinks that a travel agent is necessary or is okay to just have guests book on their own?

I'm sorry that you had a bad experience, but we all know that companie vary in customer services is just insane.  Liz in known for her dealings with large groups and is simply just amazing.  I will send you her information.  I would suggest just calling her, telling her where you are and see who she recommends in your area (like insider trading lol). There is also a vendor on here Tammy Wright who set up a travel agency as well.  If we didnt have someone local then this would have been our next route.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
