Beaches ~ Turks & Caicos Roll Call!

Recommended Posts

Hello!

We just recently got engaged and are thinking about a Beaches Turks & Caicos wedding in May 2013 but no set in stone date yet. Pictures are super important to me but someone told me that Beaches does not allow you to bring in an outside photographer? is this true? and Any recommendations for a photographer?

Also with other guests that may not be able to afford to stay at Beaches what is the closest hotel?

I just recently got engaged and we are thinking about a Beaches Turks & Caicos wedding in may 2013 (not set in stone date yet).  However, pictures are really important to me and I would love to hire a different photographer, but I heard Beaches does not allow outside vendors? is this true? if not any recommendations on a photographer?

Also for guest who would like to possibly stay somewhere cheaper what are the closest hotels? Thanks!!

Congrats!!!  Lots of ladies here went with Tropical Imaging.  I've read nothing but rave reviews about them especially Ileana.  I just found out that the prices on their site don't reflect their wedding prices, so you need to email them to get it.  They also require a 50% deposit.

Some of my family are thinking about staying at Club Med.  It's not far from Beaches and is another all inclusive.

This thread has soo much great information!  It's a long read but very informative.

The reading took me a while.  I'm such a geek that I started an excel spreadsheet of notes to utilize later for my planning with links and pictures.

Not really sure what you need to be aware of.  Bugs?  The possibility of rain? Read through this thread and you won't regret it.

Thanks for the information ladies. I can only hope that I will not have this as a worry next year. I hope that any bride with a wedding within the next week is able to find an appropriate solution. My heart goes out to their frazzled nerves.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
